That's the double click to equip bug. As soon as you equip anything by double clicking instead of drag and drop, all your active abilities become permanently disabled. Some Gamespot reviewer started a twitterstorm about it, so now it may get hotfixed quickly (on Monday).

Is there a workaround for it which doesn't involve releveling by using mods?

The coming hotfix might be able to restore the lost abilities automatically, but the Obsidian guy wasn't sure. Otherwise, you can add the abilities back with console commands, if you know exactly which ones you lost and know their internal codes.

Mutonizer suggested this might be a bug. I don't care enough to check in the incomplete, outdated manual:
You can use that meteor spell perfectly fine for free from that specific grimoire. If you want the freedom to be able to place it in any other grimoire, you have to pay the price.

Indeed, and since you can quickslots multiple grimoirs with multiple spell selections and change during combat between them, you're really not FORCED to scribing anything.

Not sure if this is a bug, but my Aumaua Barbarian has these three things showing up permanently, even when naked:

(Obv the Towering Physique is expected)

I don't recall ever having double-clicked to equip anything. Is this the dreaded persistence bug?

Yeah, that might be the Save/Load thing. The double-clicking bug would have permanently removed your Towering Physique.

Okay, thanks. Doesn't seem to offer too much of an unfair advantage, but I hope this can be hotfixed. They need to purge all characters of any invalid buffs and check for any missing ones during load.

Pallegina has lower DR than what her armor gives her. She actually has negative DR when naked. Bug or her bones are bird-like too?

Don't know if this was already reported but mirror image stays up after the character's been knocked down.

much rage, since I was looking forward for an interesting c&c...

Anyone who's getting into a fight with Ogre Druids do know that insect plague spell can stick to characters forever even after combat; although if your main was not affected you can dispel the effect by sending them back into keep and recruiting back again.

Do note that when you send companions to keep and recruit them back their stats in party screen wil be reset (like the damage they made in party during travels)

Game crashes after entering Caen Nua 23h into the game (black screen after loading and only seeing my cursor). I doubt it'll be possible to progress with this. Fuck I'm mad.

Plus summoned creatures persist after the fight AND after rest.

I can reproduce this about 25% of the time, so I'm not sure if something else is part of the equation.

What I do:
In combat, when my back line archer gets engaged (oops): Wizard casts slick on the enemy to make it prone so rogue can disengage. As soon as the spell goes off, I give the order to retreat. (Enemy is in the middle of "falling down" animation).

What happens:
About 25% of the time, the enemy will slide across the ground, prone, and re-engage my archer while still being shown as lying down. Moving the archer again will make the enemy lose their prone debuff and get off a free attack. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯


Also, I get plenty of looping sound bugs on my laptop (Win 8), but not on my desktop (Win 7). So it's probably something to do with the os.

That's the save/load bug, which seems to happen when loading save games made in "certain zones" that nobody has clear data on yet.

Very tedious to do, since any value that can be temp buffed, affected by modals, or buffed by equipment can be permanently raised, so you basically need to keep track of every single stat on every single NPC.

People can test if they've been affected by the bug if they check Kana's Int while naked - his base Int is 17, but it can quickly spiral out of control due to the Int bonus on his hat stacking again and again and again.

I have a bug with the Stronghold quests. Sometimes assigning somebody to a mission won't update the mission status, still showing the button to "assign" somebody. If clicked, the quest just disappears. Opening a different panel and coming back to the missions panel also seems to remove the quest. However, I still get a number showing under the flag accounting for more missions than the ones displayed.

Also, sometimes all the message boxes start working all funky, as if PgUp or PgDn were stuck (even though I don't think these keys do anything on the message boxes), forcing a restart of the game.

Some insight on specific combat mechanics:

What's worse is rogue's Deep Wounds talent that ostensibly add DOT on each attack. Well, the problem is - it's not Damage Over Time, it's Damage _After_ Time. And the timer gets reset each time my rogue lands a strike, so the only case in which it actually gets procced is if I utilize "shoot and run" tactic

Concerning chants, I did a bit of digging. Int doesn't affect duration, but crits do (go figure, I got an 18s of that lv 3 dragon aoe phrase on one mob while all others were at 12s...).
And another thing, don't mistake the chanting duration with the applied effect duration. When you chant you apply an effect on a creature, but that effect is another instance, it's not part of your chant anymore after it's been applied. The duration and linger of the chant just determine if anyone coming in the aoe will be affected by the chant (ie get struck by an effect of the chant).

They might fix it for you. Or at least they'll fix the bug for everyone else.

I worked around it by modifying my save file (same workaround as in Roderick's Keep bug), but now I can't speak to the statue in the main hall. I hope it won't be necessary though.

It happens in areas where the affected character has been initially recruited. In Eder's case it is Gilded Vale, in Durance case the Magran's Fork etc.

Serpent in the Staglands Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
The Cage Cursor option stops working for me very frequently (like every 5-10 minutes), and to fix it I have to go into options, disable it, exit options, go back, and enable it again. It's very annoying if you have more than one monitor.

More progress on the "why are PC stats bugging out too?" front:

YES. Got it. Drinking Horn of Moderation equipped, go into a fight with 34 Intellect, go under 50% endurance during the fight (at which point Intellect shows "properly" as 32), finish fight and regenerate endurance, Intellect now at 36. Looks like when you go back up over 50% it's both... taking off the penalty and applying the bonus again, in a sense.

So it's not just save/load that's causing the issue, but the way certain temporary buffs are handled in general. Gonna be a long patch process.
