Also, rumor is that Capcom bought PlatinumGames.

That must have gone over well.

That is bad, too bad.
Also, rumor is that Capcom bought PlatinumGames.

From what I understand from Platinum games statement is that their contract for the game is done, which is most likely concerning the combat system, while the rest of the development (story, world, art) to be done by Cygames.

Thatsat least what people on GBF community is saying.

That is wrong, though. There is no BGF game on PlatinumGames site. Thus, there is more to this than just a "they did what they were contracted to do and now Cygames is going to do the rest".

For example, Lancaster is a dev contracted to do something in a game during development, that link show all the games they worked and what they did in the game on the "担当" row for each game. You don't see this on PlatinumGames for BGF.

I mean all of the games on the Lancaster site had been released. Technically Platinum might add the game on their "works" page after GBF Re:Link is released as well.

But going back to Arland after their "Alchemist best of" feels a bit like they are running out of ideas. Not that their fans like new ideas, the "hub less" Firis didn't sell too well.

Glad to see Kickstarter is still relevant. Two men team and one guy is handling everything but audio?

Chained Echoes - a 16bit fantasy RPG with mechs and airships
A classic JRPG adventure that combines a fantasy world full of magic with mechs and airships.

About
Take up your sword, channel your magic or board your Mech. Chained Echoes is a 16-bit SNES style RPG set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits. Follow a group of heroes as they explore a land filled to the brim with charming characters, fantastic landscapes and vicious foes. Can you bring peace to a continent where war has been waged for generations and betrayal lurks around every corner?

Key features

  • 20-25 hours of play time
  • Fast paced turn-based battles
  • No random encounters; enemies can be seen running around
  • Tons of items to be looted, stolen or crafted
  • Complex skill and equipment system
  • Customize your own airship
  • Travel and fight by foot or in your Mech
  • 16-bit SNES style graphics
  • Music inspired by PSX RPGs
Chained Echoes combines the simplicity of classic games with modern gameplay to bring an epic and fast-paced adventure to PC, Mac and Linux in a little over 2 years. A Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 version will be simultaneously released if the corresponding stretch goal is reached (in this case you will be able to switch the platform of your digital copy to Switch or PS4 after the campaign's end). Please keep in mind that even if the stretch goal is not reached, a Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 port might come at a later point in time .

The game will be English only. Further languages will be available through stretchgoals, with German coming a little earlier than the others (it is easier to handle because I'm from Germany).

Holy shit, people are still buttblasted about Taishi? Those ratings put it on Dynasty Warriors 9 level.

Looking at the review graph, it's still mostly negative reviews from the launches, and there have been barely new reviews since. I wonder if Taishi can make a turnaround, at least to mixed rating?

They killed the original art in that Zelda game, holy fucking shit.
Also, FE looks like shit.

The Gameboy original version looked garbage tbh, I think you are confusing it with A Link to the Past which looked amazing
