I'm really not sure what this is, I briefly played a demo available on the dev's site not so long ago but it seems the site is dead now. It's very much some exploration, some combat and CYOA format texts with stat checks (the different classes to choose from have skills that the others don't), but one weird thing is that from the info I got from various sites I got the impression that the game was clearly developped for mobile devices but it's possible that it was eventually only released on pc. Also there are mentions of multiplayer features but not on the description of the available version so there are likely no longer available.

Travelogue is an exploration-focused RPG. Play one of three classes, each with distinct goals and skills, as you journey through the Midlands. Manipulate the interplay of power between the five merchant houses, rediscover the secrets of the ancients, or return the art of magic to a land shorn of it - the choice is yours.
Features:
  • Exploration-based gameplay - go anywhere, see what's there.
  • 17 cities and 5 dungeons to explore
  • Over sixty routes through six different terrain types
  • Your actions influence the balance of forces in the Midlands - for everyone! Shape the world into the place you want through your actions.
  • Fight strange creatures using dozens of different abilities
  • Trade in over 30 types of goods
  • Three different classes to play with their own quest-lines and sets of skills.
  • Over 130 distinct events

"Pocket Quest!": Militant midget girl with sword and strange headdress running along four different circular boards, solving quests, kicking bad guys in the arse, leveling up, getting stuff, beating mini games. The girl has a giant snail (a so called giga-snail) as her buddy, a hilarious gastropod who likes to brag but cowardly hides in his shell as soon as a battle emerges. The game is basically a boardgame-RPG-mix and quite funny. The pixel art is very well done, animations are brillant and its full of funny and crazy ideas. A light-hearted, unusual type of game and one of the most unique and most lovingly crafted games I know in the RPG-Maker-engine.

The game download is in english but I wasn't able to find a proper video so here you go in italiano:

I went trough the thread and didn't see this old gem (I might have missed it though)

It's a game based on the Swedish tabletop RPG Drakar och Demoner, something like our local version of DnD I guess you could say.
Not sure you can call it an actual RPG sadly, more of an isometric adventure point and click maybe.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So, does anyone know if there even is an English version of this game, and if yes where to find it?

https://www.myabandonware.com/game/weird-wars-the-unknown-episode-of-world-war-ii-dxs

Myabandonware only has Russki, Polski and French versions.

The German version is still available on Amazon and has a few ebay offers, so I might bite if there's no other way to get it. The German one is called "Operation Pantherauge" but I couldn't find any downloads available for it.

If noone else has sacrificed himself until then, I'll pick the French version tonight and come back later on with my impressions.

Also, some more obscure shit:

Aspetra is a 90s style JRPG made by two teenage brothers in the actual 90s, before RPG Maker was a thing. Plays like an RPG Maker game because that's what 90s JRPGs were like (shit genre) but it's a cool historical curiosity.
https://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Aspetra.html

Before the Echo is a weird mix of RPG and... rhythm games. Yeah. It was also made long before rhythm roguelikes such as Crypt of the Necrodancer, so it gets points for originality.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/200910/Before_the_Echo/

Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars is an utterly terrible action RPG. It's still for sale on gamersgate but you can find a free download on a certain abandonware site if you search a little.
https://www.gamersgate.com/DD-CFHPW/call-for-heroes-pompolic-wars

Cute Knight is a game where you play... well... a cute knight.
https://hanakogames.itch.io/cute-knight
It has a sequel:
https://hanakogames.itch.io/cute-knight-kingdom

Cops 2170: The Power of Law is a squad based sci fi RPG. It's apparently not very good but I haven't tried it yet.
https://www.gamersgate.com/DD-C2170/cops-2170-the-power-of-law

Decker is a cyberspace hacking RPG. It's freeware.

Defender of Boston has probably already been mentioned in this thread at some point, but it deserves mentioning again.
https://www.myabandonware.com/game/defender-of-boston-the-rock-island-mystery-1dr

Falling Stars is... uh... an RPG for kids. Haven't played it but I'll just assume it's a real RPG and not just a mis-matched genre descriptor.

Harbinger is a Diablo-style RPG set on a spaceship.
https://oldpcgaming.net/harbinger/

Hard to be a God is pretty obscure I guess, although it's based on a popular Russian novel.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/391030/Hard_to_Be_a_God/

A Farewell to Dragons (also known as Not the Time for Dragons) is also an obscure Russian RPG. It used to be available on Steam but no longer is. The store link leads nowhere.
http://kranx.com/en/our-projects/a-farewell-to-dragons/
Googling also finds a store page on Gamersgate, but again this just leads to the store itself. The game seems to have been removed from sale everywhere. If anyone can hunt down a copy, that would be great!

Hero X is a Diablo-style RPG with a superhero setting. There aren't many superhero RPGs out there so it's worth it just for that.
https://oldgamesdownload.com/hero-x/

Legend: Hand of God is a terribly boring Diablo clone that I played way back in the day. I probably still have the torrented version somewhere on my old external hard drives.

Shadow Vault is a squad-based strategy RPG:

Hey fuckers, it's taken me ages to get through this thread, do you think I remember what's on the first page? I think not! I will bear the shame though, thank you very much.

It's fairly known in the Adventure subforum. It's really an Adventure, there are a few duels here and there and you can learn new moves as you progress, but that's it.

Hard to be a God is pretty obscure I guess, although it's based on a popular Russian novel.
Developed by the same company as the Goldenland abomination, so don't expect much. The "disguise" mechanic was cool for the time though.
Decker is a cyberspace hacking RPG. It's freeware.
It's a roguelike IIRC. Think SRR's matrix more or less (the game was inspired by TT Shadowrun in the first place), maybe with more software variations.
A Farewell to Dragons (also known as Not the Time for Dragons) is also an obscure Russian RPG. It used to be available on Steam but no longer is. The store link leads nowhere.
From what I've read, it's very unfinished. Like, Lionheart level unfinished, only without its Barcelona. Should be available on the high seas, or at least it was last time I checked.
