Tried to install Theldrow. Since I'm no hipster, I don't have a Mac (or any Apple product for that matter) so I tried to install Basilisk, which is considered the easiest emulator.
But why the Bill Gates is it not possible to get an emulator ready to run, instead of having to run through hoops downloading all kinds of unzippers and ROMs and blank disks and whatnot?
I'm too old for this crap.
Step 1: Get game you want, it will probably be in the sit format( mac zip format)
Step 2:Get Basilisk
Step 3:Get machine ROM. Any old world quadra ROM will suffice.
Step 4: Install 7.5(do not get 7.5.6) os or get a hdd with preinstalled OS and utilities here:
https://www.savagetaylor.com/downloads/downloads-macintosh/
Download 7.5.5 drive under blue.
Step 5: Start basilisk and configure the ROM and mount the hdd image
Step 6: A:
If what you have downloaded is a floppy, mount it in Basilisk and use the stuffit expander to unzip it into your virtual mac hdd and play the game.
B:
Use one of my tools in my mac link in the emulation thread to try to get a normal floppy from sit. This has several problems:
-Most sit files are actually game files so you would still have to move them into the virtual MAC OS anyway.
-Sometimes the files get broken and are useless since they were designed to be unzipped into a MAC environment
You see how easy that was. Now excuse me, i am just gonna throw a cd into retroarch dos and start a game.
