We still have a lot work to do until our advanced class system is properly designed, but it should definitely include some of the benefits multi-classing offers.
In contrast to the basic classes, our prestige/advance classes will also have a very close link to the world and its cultures/religions. Some advanced classes will be only available to members of a specific race/culture/religion/gender (e.g. a seeress is only for females from the north, a bishop only for males from the central kingdoms etc.).
If she is the lady in the picture above I hope not for her sake. She looks too nice to have her soul destroyed.
Why are you still mentioning SCL, those modifications were extensive. They basically only kept party play and names of classes, everything else was different.
If you watched any of the gameplay videos from RB, it is clear this game is very true to D&D rules.
i cant even find this game on kickstarter how are they supposed to get funding if you cant even find this game on kickstarter
Go away YES!Why are you still mentioning SCL, those modifications were extensive. They basically only kept party play and names of classes, everything else was different.
If you watched any of the gameplay videos from RB, it is clear this game is very true to D&D rules.
I don't understand how you can consider removing multiclassing and inventing a whole new prc system isn't extensive. It is.
The two games that had significant changes to a D&D system both were not good. POR:ROMD (due to changing from AD&D to 3e) and Sword Coats Legends (5e). The games that made significant changes to combat had shitty, no thinking, click and watch combat - IE games, Kotors, NWNs, Drakensangs, etc. KotC was good for an indie game that gutted 3.5e. It had good content but by gutting all the things that would have made it great it is merely good for a super indie game. LMA is not my kind of game but I would have enjoyed it more if they didn't invent their own edition of D20.
Since ToEE I've been looking for a game that had the same true implementation of 3.4e. I thought this would be it. I now know it isn't.
You are on record liking games with significant changes from the core material. For me - it doesn't work out very well. You guys all like stupid shit - I don't. You guys trust unproven devs to make significant and extensive changes to the established rpg systems they use as a bait and switch - I don't.
Telling me I shouldn't worry about the think that literally make me excited about the game being not true is silly. Do I tell you that you shouldn't be worried about things you worry about?
I think everyone would all resoundingly agree I have scientifically proven impeccable taste in rpgs - if anything people should be worried about what I am worried about.
They also fired JarlFrank because he wasn't a real Nazi. He fooled them for a while, but the company Gestapo finally uncovered his scheming.is this that nazi game i read about?
I don't want to edit my earlier post, but I need to clarify and to correct a part of it (edited the quote here): Our prestige class system derives first and foremost from the SRD 3.5e but since we neither use Forgotten Realms nor Pathfinder, we have to come up with our own classes including the required spells/feats/skills.
And in that regard, my personal favorite is Wizardry 7 (despite the fact that W7 had a completely different approach to classes anyway).
Since I am not the only system designer here and the design of our advanced class system is actually far from being completed, so, at this stage of development, I shouldn't have commented on prestige classes at all
Myabe that portable tactics game? I played that after the last time I played POR:ROMD but I couldn't get into it, and if I forgot ROMD had it I can't trust my memory for that.
Go away YES!
He looks over 40, he just has a low-T soy boy babyface.Hobgob looks younger than I expected
I have it on good authority that this is simultaneously a Nazi site as well as a Jewish op and a foot fetish porn site on top of that.Hobgob looks younger than I expected (he's credited on videogames since 1995). He must have gotten his foot in the industry at a rather young age.
Did no English-language outlet interview them, though? I want something I can post on the front page.
Hobgoblin is, though.Guido Henkel is not working on this game.
