Everything looks wonderfully crummy and the protagonist is clearly the sort of neckbeard this game is probably aimed for too (even though he seems to be able to swim).

Yes, swimming is in. And you drown in deep water.

It's on par with Risen 2. I doubt anyone was expecting nextgen stuff from PB.

I'm sorry, but I don't see all the glorious extra-open world RPGs with lots of verticality that could fill the PB gap anywhere :x

Verticality? The last PB game with any verticality was 4 games ago and was called Gothic 2. Any RPG has yet to fill that gap.

Funny how the game looks worse than R1 or R2 despite using the same engine :troll:

More seriously, I liked how R1/2 distinguished itself, and R1 artstyle in particular was lovely, bit sad it's become more generic. But still looks pretty PB and it's going to be D1P anwyway.

Make the Codex Great Again! RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Wow. I always hated the look of the protagonist in Gothic, and now this guy. At this point I have to admit respect for PB for consistently daring to have genuinely unattractive main characters.

I sincerely hope they stick with that guy as the protagonist. And that the game is good.

Gothic's protagonist was at least easy to mod moddable.

Holy shit that lighting is just shitty. Is that hard to add even one light source in that house above ? You know like phong light used in games since Directx8

The main character looks bald, this offends me because any bald man brave enough to face PB's buggy world would not do so sporting that ridiculous neckbeard.
