Was looking at the demo footage and I don't really see the point in using any other weapons than Robo's default gun. It's just that good, and has infinite ammo. Could have easily made other weapons more viable/interesting by not having infinite ammo for it. Stupid choice, IMO.

What I did like was the attention to detail on the streets, while walking around. The destructible enviorments are also cool.

I rather liked the gun arm from Robocop 3.
I hope they include it just to add to Robocop's arsenal.

It also appears in the Robocop 2003 video game, if you guys are familiar with it.

Robocop's default gun is powerful (as it should be) but it only works in small bursts. I don't think there is a point in picking up pistols (though TBH didn't even try) but some of the other weapons you pick up are more powerful and faster, i only used the default gun when i ran out of ammo for those.

Wow, yeah l, that trailer completely changed my perspective on what kind of game this is. My interest went from mild to ecstatic. Looks amazing.

The most fascinating thing about this is how faithful it is to the aesthetic and vibe of the films.

These devs know what they're doing and respect the source material. A rarity these days.

Apparently it's the same team that made that recent Terminator game, which was also surprisingly good and true to the source material.

I'm worried the game looks a little too easy, but I think they've said there'll be difficulty levels like their Terminator game, which was also decent.

Makes sense that there wouldn't be much of a reason to pick up random crooks' guns, though I wonder why it's even an option in the first place.

Maybe later in the game you encounter more armoured enemies against which the main gun is ineffective.

The UZI was awesome though. Just point and spray like the typical 80s bad guy, well, except that you are a cop, upholding the law... I think.
