I'm more surprised at how many votes it got, I thought me and ColCol were the only people here who actually played it.As for curiosities, Unexplored proved it's worth a look - this exotic roguelike had the highest % of positive votes in the poll: 84%!
Prey is FPS with lite RPG elements and Battle Brothers is fantasy Xcom. Both don't have a place on this list.
- Divinity: Original Sin 2
- Prey
- Battle Brothers
WTF? I am missing something? Isn't Prey an FPS? I completely don't understand this.
As always, the results are interesting. Thanks felipepepe for organizing it every year.
If anyone is interested, here is the ResetEra thread.
The new, more inclusive Dex
Spellforce is way more of an RPG than the many action games that are on these these lists/in the GRPG section.
2016 poll had been open for approximately two weeks, from 14 Jan, 'till 1 Feb.
Anyway, didn't vote, because I though I will have more time, and look at this mess. Prey? Waifumata? What? Dominions are p. cool, but why is it and Spellforce are among RPGs? Have we become 3Dakshun Codex (and some RTS/TBS) while I was away?
The poll is shit, here you don't vote for the best rpg,you give score to games that came out this year. True poll should have only one vote per person and not scoring system.
I'm puzzled by 62 people giving Torment 4/4 on a Codex managed survey. Clearly Darth Roxor voted early and often.
Codex might be in decline but at least we are still not consoletards.Persona 5 was the best rpg released this year... It's a shame that it being a console exclusive meant that a lot of codexers didn't play it.
Well if can have 7 PoE reviews, we can as hell have more than one GotY poll!!What a shit poll....should have been mane on the codex not in a place where every casual wanker can vote. Also don't rate them by average, rate them by points. It is retarded that a games with only few people voting with high scores are above games that a few hundred people voted for. Another thing is that only four games are actually an rpgs. Can't believe that this shit was posted on the codex!
