Checked Bovada. +10000 odds on Sacred 3 winning. Put a buck on it.

If D:OS wins, I will no longer post in GD and devote all my energy to fighting the disease that is Decline on the Gaming forums.

Where were you when all of the other shit action games got game of the year? Why are you suddenly outraged now? Butthurt? D:OS is certainly better than ALL of the previous years complete fucking garbage. For the last twelve fucking years.

You should probably just stay in GD hon.

Since half of the codex wants to shit on WL2 and the other half wants to shit on DOS, it's pretty obvious that Dragonfall will win. /smug

Wasteland 2 was so dreadfully mediocre, biggest disappointment of the year for me. D:OS fell off later on, but first 20-30 hours were the best experience i'v had in the last 10 years. However Underrail should be on top. Simply because, this one man does a better job at bringing back INCLINE, than pretty much anyone else in the industry. NEOscavenger should be a close second for same reason.

There. Everyone's happy.
Pretty much everyone who participated in the shitting on Div:OS/W2/Dragonfall only did so cause they eat shit for breakfast and have shit for brains. Those games may all be flawed and (imo) none really achieved "greatness", but they were the closest we got in ten years, ffs.

NEO Scavenger was my favourite game (with standalone Dragonfall a relatively close second) and my only 5/5 pick; I'd like it to do well in the poll, because it's a game that could (moreso than most of the others) really benefit from whatever added exposure the Codex awards generate (I'd never have learned about the game or picked it up without hearing about it on the Codex first myself). I don't mind if any of the bigger contenders wins, though -- those that I played were flawed but ultimately enjoyable (which makes the D:OS vs Wasteland 2 debate kind of funny to me, because I thought they were fairly even in this respect, if for different reasons).

Well, he owns the setting, he probably earned some precious :takemyjewgold: considering the game even reached #1 bestseller on Steam at one point, so I think dcfedor is in a position to think of it. He even tackles this particular matter in yesterday (today in US) update on BBG website, so he IS already thinking of the next thing.

This game really needs a Codex review. Many people here just seem to be oblivious of its existance, much shame.

Its easy to mis, it was released late this year, its a 2D game so people dont even want to try cause theres no bloom and nothing spectacular graphically. Yet its a lot more falloutish than wastelands 2, this guy should contact styg and make a new game with him, mix underrail engine with neo scavenger system, wound system especially. Its really memorable, harvest good loot during the day, feel great about your progression, set up your camp trap it, and get your lung perforated by night from an unseen opponent sling shot . Die one day later from septicemy, deseperatly rummaging through ruins for antibiotics, repelling dogs with your crude crafted spear ....
If its not on my glorious steam games lists its because its cheaper there: http://www.desura.com/games/neo-scavenger , no drm just unzip it.

Yes, I tried both. The former is fine, the latter actually dropped me into a hole where I didn't leave my room for 6 months straight.
Fortunately, I was used to that since I once locked myself into a room for 2 years before, so I know how to live out of a single room just fine.

Have you ever been nocturnal? It's relaxing.

The demo of The banner saga was good. I hope the real game will be good too.

Underrail wasn't released at all and still everybody here knows of it, some even pitch it as GOTY here. While UR is excellent as well, it will be contender in year of its release, hopefully 2015.

NEO Scav on the other hand gained Codex exposure only recently despite being early access for years as well. It didn't have this "pet project" status here, so while UR had front page news every update, NEO only got like 3 news since may 2012 including the recent one about release. See it yourself:

So I don't think December release is the case. I bought my early access back in 2012 and was always enjoying the game since. I wondered why it barely get any exposure here, bit I just figured it didn't match the tastes of people here. But considering recent praise of this game here it seems it was simply... overlooked.

Grab the Codex by the pussy
If Wasteland 2 wins, I'm leaving for good. What would be the point of staying?

Not that there ever was one, mind you.
