What I like is that it is a period when guns already made their way into standart troops but cold steel still is heavily present.
Something like Warhammer Fantasy Battle, where arquebuse is not a superweapon and melee presense is huge.
This and mounted combat, as reitar/hussar warfare were emergent. Ao no.napoleonic hit and runs but rather where charges turn into a series of cavalrymen clashes

And I hope they will not make polish hussars a staple enemy as equipping one was a huge effort and casually killing a dozen of them would be a disaster as they could not.be replaced easily

That was a fake from hohols right after game announcement. Devs contacted the press, like, the next day, when asked about if they fled with the money.
Ironically, that was literally the same the same hohols, who waged a camaign of boycotting Atomic Heart.

I simply hope the game offers an alternative path to becoming a "Russian patriot" and lets you keep on cooperating with the Poles and aiding Władysław IV Vasa in taking the throne in Moscow. Thus achieving a non-canonical, yet possible in the context of early 17th Century ending.

Probably not, since the project is cofunded by the Russian state.

Since we don't get enough historical RPGs I hope this one won't suck anyway.

I like the idea of another historical game. Even more so of an early-modern history one. I dislike the sub-genre and i also am afraid it will come with too much butthurt included. I think if the Russians made it a couple of years ago it might have turned OK in that regard. However, as of now, it just begs to be used as a mean to furiously scratch one's own butt. Hope it won't come to that.
