Just wish it had mod support, would be a better waifu simulator than Skyrim.
They're actually working on an official mod kit for SR3, and have said they'd like to do the same for SR4. Maybe them being owned by Deep Silver will improve the studio, THQ apparently refused to allow them to make their games easily modded.

That will be glorious.

THQ apparently refused to allow them to make their games easily modded.
Considering how 90% of the post-release content they added to their games would be completely invalidated by mod support it's easy to understand why. Just US$ 7,49 to put gasmaks and trenchcoats on your guardsmen!

Speaking of that, why wasn't the first Saints Row ever ported to PC?
I don't know, maybe THQ just didn't give a shit, their shitty atrocious console port of SR2 was a clear indication to me.
Are you kidding? SR4 might be the perfect over the top openworld game. SR3 would have been great if it was more varied in the mission departmen. The over the top story and characters were awesome. If SR4 will improve that, it will be glorious.
Someone already answered my point. ;)
Well, I'm so sorry but I can't stomach too retarded shit very well.
SR2 was a good San Andreas clone, in a way to balance the dramas and lulz aspect in the right portion, that's what I like about the game IMO.
For me too serious shit isn't fun, but too dumb shit isn't my taste either.
They could add all the childish jokes as much as they want, but I need the cool shits too like Johnny Gat's badass moments with katana fights and burying man alive and all that shit.
Indeed the series were never a great game to begin with and made only to be a fun drinking game in the first place, but please pardon me if I can't take the purple dildo joke for more than 5 minutes.
Too much fart jokes, and no enough badassery. It's like an impotent tranny in my book. A shameful, wasted potential. :D

It was great when the over-the-top humor was (to my knowledge) original, or at least creative. A buggy chase with bdsm subs for horses is the greatest idea ever. I wasn't impressed by a lot of the other writing, though, especially since Gat was fucking dead and he comprised a lot of what made me laugh in SR2.

also a fucking proper port job would be nice this time

RIP Johnny Gat, and the badassery aspect of SR games. :salute:

I agree. A great joke is better than 1000 bad jokes put together IMO.

Did I already say that like the balance in SR2?
All the good or great jokes in SR2 are in the cutscenes, they're there because they're worthy to be told, or at least entertaining. For example the radioactive tattoo scene which is unexpected and majestic.
All over the top stuffs are in minigames like the cop minigame and the septic truck one.
The city itself is mostly normal, immersive, and believable like the good old GTA games, with good details like almost no people wears the same clothes (which is happen too often in SR3) and we can dress like them if we want. The spontaneous random shits are great too. People are chatting in the street, dancing in local clubs, smoking and playing games, gangmembers talk and chill in their outposts. Chinese populates the Chinatown, and tourists will take photographs in popular sites etc.
It even has random instances like a guy steals car and then chased by the police, etc.
The city feels much much more alive than SR3 Steelport IMO, because SR3 lacks that level of details.

Also, the three enemy factions have different tones and variety in their stories.
Sons of Samedi is about drug wars, light jokes, parties and Shaundi.
Ronin filled with dramas, Johnny Gat moments and badassery.
The Brotherhood is about rivalry between the two leaders and revenge.
All of them never feel disjointed with one another, and have some over the top moments which never feel lulzy or monotone.
A great tradition from SR1.

In SR3 the entire city looks like a big redlight district and the pedestrians are either whores, furries, or twins with the same clothing.
Minigames are less fun than SR2, the factions stories are all about over the top actions and teen jokes.
Not enough variety at all.

And I have my worries about these SR4 planned features:
>No more cribs customization.
>Only one enemy faction, I think it's OK because they fight aliens as common enemy yes? We'll see.
>Downloadable cars, they say because the setting is in virtual reality, cars can be downloaded to the game. But I bet it's a scheme to sell DLCs and shit.
>The minigames scoring will be tweaked, and I hope they balance it right, or else the minigames will get too tedious and no longer fun (Because I suck at playing GTA minigames).

God damn dumbfucks, why'd they kill him in the first place if they are going to spoil the re-introduction so...

MORANS!

First they fuck up Gat's death in SR3, now this...

SR4 releases only a few weeks before GTA5, they need to do everything they can to not get murdered in sales. If revealing Gat's back early helps sell a few more pre-orders, they'll do it.

The character creator is out on Steam now, so if you're getting this game and don't want to fuck around with the Create-A-Boss before playing the actual game, that's good.

Outfits range from normal to "goofy" to Star Wars (yes, you can dress up as Han Solo). Emotes have series classics but also some new "meme" ones, like a Gangnam Style and Epic Sax Guy parodies.

Three female and four male voices: English, Black and Russian for the ladyboss and English, Black, British and Nolan North (no really, it just says Nolan North) for the manboss. I think they are the same VAs as in The Third.

English (...) I think they are the same VAs as in The Third.
:decline: Yet again no Charles Shaughnessy, just Devlin from Saboteur/dad's friend from nuTomb Raider/the VO guy that is in all the fucking games atm doing an English Batman impression? Weak, I'll get it in the next humble deep silver bundle.

They added a lot of new hairstyles, an most of them are way better than those form SRTT. I approve.

Yeah, I liked British Boss of Saints Row 2 better than Robin Atkin Downes. He sounded smoother and less angry and coarse.

Didn't Volition finally create an official toolset with the help of some modders?
That's really a great news man.
Deep Silver is making a difference indeed.
Possibility to import or recreate SR2 contents in SRTT/SR4 engine is really great.
I hope it's going well for them.
