Did you do the ModifyDirectXBehavior=1 in NVTF? I've read that if you do that and use OneTweak it prevents video RAM being dupped in the abysmal 4GB memory limit, though I'm still only using NMC medium and OJO BUENO performance because I would like a hassle-free vanilla+ run. Am I being to cautious?
Also, purple sunrises and sunsets!!!

The phone, lamp, and desk want none of that high-res bullshit.

Is the game any good?

It's alright. It's late 90's russian eurojank. It's an RPG-RTS hybrid. You and the other heroes gain xp by using their skills in combat, find loot, etc. You can also recruit mercenary bands to help you during missions. Gold is used to hire both mercs as well as further train your heroes in town and buy equipment for them. You're supposed to juggle your resources among all three, though to be honest a good mercenary band is worth more than any +8947984 sword of doom that you can buy at the shop. The maps are mostly non-linear. The geography is distributed in such a way as to allow multiple ways to the end goal. But it's a good idea to explore the maps thoroughly as you will be able to find more gold, items and spell books, the latter being VERY expensive at the shop. The game looks very nice. The VA is so bad it's good. I think it's like $2 now on GOG so I'd say it's worth a try.

I did like the layered armour system which created quite a bit of equipment porn. Seems like not many RPGs (or hybrids in this case) bother with those kinds of systems.

Definitely put that one to 1. Only downside is that it will cause crashes if you alt-tab when playing Fullscreen afaik.

Since I don't use texture packs I don't ever run into memory limit issues.
