Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. Finally figured out why the widescreen patch didn't work for me.

Trying the expanded fronts mod. The amount work they put into making new factions is pretty impressive.
It's also includes a phantom menace campaign which crushes for me the moment i try to pick a healing item

This looks really cool, how is it? I'm wary of early access.

There is very little content in there so far but I really liked what's there, great atmosphere and excellent level design especially if you're the type who loves to explore every nook and cranny in LGS and Arkane games. The combat requires a LOT of work though and a lot of stuff just isn't implemented yet.

Tomb Raider 2 + TR2Main

The "totally not sunken Titanic" are my fav. levels:

The "ice" ones, not so much...

But murdering tibetan monks and rare fauna later is incline:

Unfortunately some secrets are kinda over the top:

And both boss battles can be out-cheesed easily:

Temple of Xian is great puzzle- and mood- wise, but also quite masochistic:

And then - Xen of TR2:

Back then some journos complained about "not enough shooting" in TR1. Well, the devs decided to "fix" this by spamming thousands of goons for Lara to mow down...

Cheesing in boss battles part 2:

IMO from technical POV the game maybe needs some better textures and that's it. Everything else still looks great.

None of the reboots were able to grasp the atmosphere of first 3 TR games... Goodnight, sweet 90-ies princess.

Verdict:

and a half as a classic TR game
as a game played in 2022

Yeah, found the first emulator that manages to run Fight Night Round 2 just perfectly. Created Butterbean prototype for this run. I actually love how you develop, get stronger and as you age, no matter how hard you try in training, you still decline slowly and see how you become slower and weaker, even newcomers give you a though challenge. By 40 just clinging with each fight for as long as you can

your Butterbean looks good, I immediately went on cdromance to get my fight night roms
my first and last was Fight Night 3 - loved it more than any other fighting sort of game from then and since, career was ace for larping and playing against my buddy was like a highly sophisticated game of thumb war via a technological proxy lol

FNR2 is pretty much the same, only the third is a bit slower and stamina feels more important. Played the shit out of them both. Playing player against player is intense as fuck. Only guitar hero was as intense as this one. My 6 year old controller might not hold up after the career mode

Lots of screenshots from Alien Shooter 2. One of my favorite top down shooters. No bullshit, just hordes of monster to slay in a grimy orgy of gore. I don't think there is any other game where your character develops from a wimpy "top" Sawyer to a ballsy Giga-Terminator. I do miss games that skip bloat and gimmicks. They have to go for the throat with tight gameplay.
