Damn cultists may make me rage sometimes, but once you git gud the game is extremely enjoyable. Playing on Well Done (and not more than 4 saves per level) after having beaten episodes 1 and 2 in Lightly Broiled using savescumming with my gf.

Trust me, you guys don't want to play this game. It looks nice, but that's all it has going for it.

Got a bit bored after completing the main quest of Fallout of Nevada.

I'm playing the Crazy Edition, that's why the interface has new icons.

Dead dogs in Antarctica?

:obviously:

The "coal mine cart ride" segment is irritating, but at the same time super-fun:

Some unexpected docorum for Antarctica:

Fire Temple:

And down we go:

Weird space mutants instead of dragons this time:

And we're do...

Wait, not yet...

Verdict on the main series:

TR1: :5/5:

TR2: :3/5: and a half (bodycount in da house)

TR3: :4/5: but some segments can force casuals to ragequit + get a walkthrough if you want all secrets

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
^ Yeah, that's how I'd rate them as well. I'm curious what you will think of TR4.
TR4 is my second-favorite of the classic series, right after TR1. It has some of the best tombs with interesting puzzles and great aesthetics.

But it also has some of the worst shit in the entire series like fucking Cairo and the bike booster puzzles, and that mini "theme park" building in Alexandria.

I've tried it recently, after 20 (?) years, only to be greeted by the unskippable "press jump to jump" tutorial, made even worse by shitload of talking about trivial nonsense. Compare disso shitto with TR1, where tutorial is optional + you just get thrown into some Aztec catacombs to figure shit out. Also bats, wolves and occasional bear. Awesome.

Also, is it just me, or is the TR4 / TR5 engine inferior to the old one? I mean characters look deformed, FOV feels weird, inventory is worse, etc.

Then I remembered the 1000 brown corridors and bugs crawling out of holes...

Fuck this shit.
