Quake 3 is IMO one of the ugliest games ever.

Nothing in Q3 fits together with anything else, it's all a visually confusing mess without any kind of direction. A huge downgrade from Q2 in every way.
I was actually admiring how great Quake 3's aesthetic is when I saw this comment.

And wtf?? Quake 2 looks like shit.

This is the last playable half-decent game by a studio with the Bioware brand, decided to check it out before it died. It's surprisingly active and takes the origins from DA:O and turns those different origin plots into an entire game with MMO elements, with fully voice acted and class-specific quests and storylines, you even get companions. At the time of release it was a joke but RPGs have turned so bad that it felt like a breath of fresh air playing it. Each class also plays very differently, so playing through different storylines with new characters keeps the game fresh too. It's also free, unless you want to play as the more exotic aliens, and there's just about no grind even if you don't pay a cent.

Didn't have enough time to complete even one class storyline and I would have preferred a tighter singleplayer KOTOR 3, that kind of game was dying then, and TORtanic was the last gasp of that. Now it's all about crafting and survival and finding cost efficient ways of wasting the players time, letting them put in the busywork in a sandbox to build a base and crap like that. It's ironic because thanks to AI tech fully voice acted games like those Bioware used to make are now more financially viable than ever.

People kept making fun of Bioware, but it's not like there was a better company out there delivering better content in that niche. We're getting BG3 soon and the only thing that gives you in higher quality and more of is cringe. The best RPG writing I've experienced in years is Bioware's joke of an MMO from 2011 in the pre-Disney Star Wars setting, playing as an imperial agent and a sith sorcerer. The real joke is on us.

Hopw roewur nu rate me all you want, Fedora Master, but when was the last time you played an RPG with a story focused on intelligence work and covert action? The RPG genre is a wasteland and the best we got was Alpha Protocol and that game wasn't finished. It was worth holding my nose and playing a MMO to get my spy RPG fix, there was even C&C in there.
