There's no single player per se, but there is a campaign and a story, although it's quite basic. It's supposed to be played in co-op, but you can play with two bots. But even though the missions are basic, gameplay is popamole and characters are rather generic, I don't hate the game tbh. Mowing down xenomorphs is fun. There's enough lore to justify playing it, if you're a fan of the series. There's a level where you get some Engineer lore:

It's one of those 6/10 games that are fun to play for a bit, and then you forget about them. I'd never buy this if it werent' included in Humble Choice.

Thanks. There aren't many Alien games so I can live with a 6/10. I thought it was another multiplayer coop loot-shooter with no clear beginning and end. Having a basic campaign is much better.

That's WinUAE with my shader setup obsessively tweaked to perfection. Details here:

I prefer the Amiga CD-32 version. ScummVM only supports the DOS port, but let's you use MT-32 music and digital speech at the same time. On real DOS, you can only have MT-32 music without speech, or OPL music with speech.

The latest ScummVM version has added RetroArch GLSL shader support, so might be easier if you don't wanna bother with Amiga emulation.

The 16-bit pixel art is glorious, I'm gonna play this for the art alone! I wish they had built-in CRT shader support, but that's nothing ReShade can't fix I guess.

Wow, just read this was done by a single guy. That's insane, the art rivals the best from the 16-bit era, he must have put many thousands if not tens of thousands hours into it.
