On my replay list.
This and its sequel - Elite Force 2.
Great games.
I replay them every few years, because there are no modern games with this kind of game design anymore: mission > central hub > mission > central hub etc. With an interesting cast of characters and each mission being set in a different environment/biome. I guess that's too expensive for modern developers. Games like Jedi Outcast/Academy, NOLF 1/2, Elite Force 1/2, Soldier of Fortune 1/2, Deus Ex etc. provide that experience, and still hold up incredibly well. Thief 1/2/3 as well. Modern games pale in comparison in that regard.

Virtual Voyager mode is so cool.
I wish they had a similar mode in Elite Force 2, as you only get to explore some of the ship and talk to people in between missions.

I assume that this is a difficulty select.

By the way, this game was made by a single japanese person with an interest in that genre of hentai which involves cute animu girls getting horrifically dismembered or mutilated.
Just wanted to mention this.

Most of my deaths so far were from trying to perform this jump.

This game has no quick saving by design as i understand it. Took me a bit of time to get used to this.

Rifle alt-fire is pretty strong.

This is how the level exit looks like here.

Elite Force 2 is probably the best looking Quake3 engine game.

Indeed.
Very good looking character models too.

Your character went full Patrick Bateman.
There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable:
I
simply
am
not
there.

The Citadel.

I didn't know that you could pilot mechs in this game. I was clearly meant to take this mech to the next level.
c0ethecitadelWin64Shipp.png

I was wondering a lot at first why the game suddenly decided to throw so many mechs and enemies at me.
f8thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

Good thing there is another mech here you can take if you manage to reach it.

f06thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

She didn't even fight back. An angel of sloth, trully.
f92thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

This cheeky boy always hiding somewhere on the level. You can buy weapon upgrades and various consumables from him like ammo, bloodpacks, Ox canisters and food. Can sell stuff to him too for some extra cash.

dccthecitadelWin64Shipp.png

There are certain secrets that can really trivialise the level if you find them like the hidden mech here.
8c8thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

Or finding the rooftops access right at the start.
cb1thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

^This was a short but pretty fun level. All walls are destructible here and you're given plenty of explosives.
ee7thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

^This was a somewhat intense level as it involves a lot of jumping on a far away platforms. It's very easy to overjump here.
e97thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

More intense jumping. Platforming scares me more than the enemies here because of the no quick save thing.
277thecitadelWin64Shipp.png

You learn the ability to enter the bullet time by overdosing on oxygen after defeating a certain boss. Very useful during an intense scenarios like a boss battle or a surprise enemy mech behind the corner.
I am enjoying this game a lot more than i thought i would.
