The first beta of the graphical version of ADOM. The tiles/resolution/whatever is way too big atm. Can't see shit in dungeons. Would like the dungeons to look as small as the wilderness. The inventory/level up screen/etc are just the basic text interface.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger.

It looks more like a proper sequel of the second part. How is the game anyway?
It's basically a linear arcadey shooting gallery (you get points for kills, combo multipliers bonuses for headshots etc to level up and get skill upgrades) except without the variety of the second game; it's a $15 downloadable so I think it's just a stop gap for a new full game whilst trying to get back some credibility in the CoJ franchise. Not worth a purchase but it's not terrible either, just very pedestrian.

Well, it's still railroaded and this time around the game format is an old man telling his life's tale in a bar. This means it's scripted as fuck and makes a lot of use of the spoken story as a medium. As an example, he'll be busy telling them how he got ambushed by cowboys, then randomly change them to indians to make sure the people he's talking to are still paying attention, all the while things change for you in-game.

It sounds a lot cooler than it is, but it's not a bad game overall. I'd give it a 6 or a 7 out of a ten. Aside from the horrendous scripting, the shooting gallery parts can be pretty decent mindless fun. Nothing amazing, but not entirely horrible either.

I still feel the CoJ series would be a hell of a lot better had they been open-world western games like Gun or RDR.

Crysis on delta difficulty was fun. I think that's the FPS I enjoyed the most out of those released after Half-Life 2. Loved the open maps, weapon customization and derping around with the nanosuit (even if 90% of the time I only used it for the optical camo). Quite a solid experience even if it does have some pretty obvious flaws and meh sections.

Totally agree with you.
Even if I'm forcing myself to be stealth, I've noticed that if you run like an idiot allarming everyone,
you can quickly escape laying in a bush with cloack on...this is quite meh. ( I mean what happened to Prophet orders about keeping low profile?)

I'm fuckin' loving that binoculars don't autospot target, so firstly you have to find an high pov or listen to footsteps if in the jungle and SEARCH.

Maybe an Extreme mode: no radar... in loving memory of Metal Gear Solid.

Playing Crysis made me rage so often, since the enemies are huge bullet sponges and can even swallow a couple of headshots. Sorry, but no

Helmet and body armour?
