This is the "classic" selection of characters from the "Aliens: The Computer Game" released on the 8-bit computers in 1986.
This remake allows you to pick and choose characters from the film, and adds some new things like basic stats, mini-cams for each troop and 2-player hotseat mode. (Notice how Burke is a total wuss.)

And in the wake of codex's true 2014 goty's release, I've been playing some DA:O, which is the only modern bioware game I've ever played, by the way, because it's the only game which gives me true roleplaying experiences, such as this:

From top: Ammo capacity, accuracy, stamina and health.
The first two speak for themselves. Despite Bishop being an übermensch in the other stats, his miniscule ammo count makes him almost useless. Bros like Hicks and Vazquez are the real powerhouses of the game.
Stamina represents how much movement (moving between rooms and aiming the gun) the person can do before becoming exhausted. This "feature" of the game is a REAL pain to deal with.
Health represents how many Alien attacks they can survive. For each successful attack by an Alien, a heart is lost. Note that some forms of attack don't care about this, they just kill you outright.
In the original game the starts were identical for everyone, all maxed out except for health which was just 1 heart, meaning EVERYTHING bad would kill you. With the addition of various health meters, the Med-Bay rooms serve a purpose now.
The best party setup is Ripley, Hudson, Hicks, Frost, Vazquez and Drake.

Fix is a strong word. The game isn't broken in any way, it's just a lazy port. It's nowhere near as fucked up as Dark Souls. But yeah, i'm using his little program. I think it's rather obvious?
