Here's a peak at the Lander, tucked behind its shroud just below the Command Module. It's a two stage arrangement with an LFO descent stage, and a monoprop ascent stage. Science gathering equipment is plastered all over the descent stage, including a Universal Storage hexcore & modules.
Dramatic ignition of the 7500 KN first stage cluster, blowing the fuck out of the launchpad.
Shortly after beginning the gravity turn, the first stage is spent. Solid fuel retro thrusters push it safely away from the ship just prior to stage 2 ignition.
Stage 2 is spent shortly after starting the orbital insertion burn. It also has solid fuel retro thrusters, primarily to ensure it remains suborbital to fall back to Kerbin.
Upon completion of the orbit burn, the lander fairings are jettisoned, right over KSC. The Command Module extends its solar panels to ensure the batteries are full prior to crossing the terminator line into the dark. Not shown: The upper booster stage was used for the Minmus transfer burn. Assembly of the CSM/Lander in its delivery configuration will occur enroute...

Jeb goes on EVA to connect some struts to keep the vehicle stiff for maneuvering and entering Minmus orbit. Afterwards, the upper booster stage is jettisoned, and the CM/Lander vehicle prepares to make a correction burn and head for Minmus.
Circularizing over Minmus. The crew will spend a day together in orbit making preparations. Bob, the scientist, will be making the descent tomorrow. (pics to come)
