Your stats look.... high. How did you manage this? Congrats on beating that fight!

IIRC I maxed magic at chargen, dumped the rest (Or most of the rest) in to might, and then they got boosted further by items and character background. Tended to prioritize might and magic boosting items for my wizard dude since that let me alpha strike more reliably with spells.

Actually what the hell, I'll fire it up and take a peek. I don't think I changed the gear on him after that point.
Apparently I did, had 21 might at the final save. The rest are the same though. Looking at my not-suppressed bonuses, I'm getting +1 might from god's boon (End game save, explains the 21 might), +1 might from eating some souls from a machine or something because wizard does what wizard wants, +3 might from girdle, +2 resolve from ring, +1 perception from hat, and +2 INT from amulet. Plus other miscellaneous bonuses but those are the regular stats.

Not sure how I had 108 accuracy in that picture though. My base un-buffed accuracy is 51 with the paladin's aura running. May have had buffs from Durance during the fight and no longer had dragon terror debuffing, but still doesn't really account for the difference unless I'm missing something. And looking over Durance as far as I can tell he should only be giving a +5 accuracy bonus unless I'm misreading something. Maybe there's something fucked up with items with Marking? My wizard was using a pistol with Marking, maybe he was cumulatively getting the bonus himself or something? Killed the dragon after the patch which as far as I know supposedly fixed broken item stacking stuff.

Ah, further investigation shows I had the "Mob justice" talent due to working with the Dozens which gives an accuracy bonus if you're going after the same target as someone else. Also only a +5, but maybe I had enough dinky +5s from here and there to actually double my accuracy.

Huge dump incoming!
Testing how Windows 98 runs on my crappy tablet.

Chaos Overlords runs okay, kinda painful to play without a mouse, though. Exile runs nicely, except I didn't go past the main menu for now.

Droiyan (Icarus) runs okay, the only issue is rather long loading times.

Moar KSP. My version of the Apollo Saturn V moonshot to Minmus

The Apollyon I sits on the launchpad, ready to go. The offset is because I got sloppy in the VAB

TeU7eAc.png

Here's a peak at the Lander, tucked behind its shroud just below the Command Module. It's a two stage arrangement with an LFO descent stage, and a monoprop ascent stage. Science gathering equipment is plastered all over the descent stage, including a Universal Storage hexcore & modules.

bL4JIL0.png

Dramatic ignition of the 7500 KN first stage cluster, blowing the fuck out of the launchpad.

4ViJJWC.png

Shortly after beginning the gravity turn, the first stage is spent. Solid fuel retro thrusters push it safely away from the ship just prior to stage 2 ignition.

P9H037c.png

Stage 2 is spent shortly after starting the orbital insertion burn. It also has solid fuel retro thrusters, primarily to ensure it remains suborbital to fall back to Kerbin.

GFkVoOd.png

Upon completion of the orbit burn, the lander fairings are jettisoned, right over KSC. The Command Module extends its solar panels to ensure the batteries are full prior to crossing the terminator line into the dark. Not shown: The upper booster stage was used for the Minmus transfer burn. Assembly of the CSM/Lander in its delivery configuration will occur enroute...

...seen here:

Jeb goes on EVA to connect some struts to keep the vehicle stiff for maneuvering and entering Minmus orbit. Afterwards, the upper booster stage is jettisoned, and the CM/Lander vehicle prepares to make a correction burn and head for Minmus.

F80BIM5.png

Circularizing over Minmus. The crew will spend a day together in orbit making preparations. Bob, the scientist, will be making the descent tomorrow. (pics to come)

Finished PoE:

End01.jpg

End-game dungeon was a snoozefest in terms of combat but very atmospheric, gave me some Fortress of Regrets vibes.

End02.jpg

End-battle stage.

End03.jpg

Thaos dead.

End04.jpg

Some end-game party stats. Rogues really are killing machines.

End07.jpg

Ending slides:love: Some view them as worthless feature in regards to C&C but I always loved them since Fallout.

Hexen 2. Performance sucks (both at 640x480 and 320x200), input lag is all over the place, won't bother to play it like this.
At least it's good for benchmarking purposes. Now I'll just check some games with 3d models over 2d backgrounds, and I'm good to go.

Another note: Windows 98 emulation is fucking unstable, it froze after a few minutes when I played Chaos Overlords, but had zero issues with Droiyan.
I'm thinking about trying the version with CD/ISO support to see if I can play some Windows adventure games that are (unfortunately) not available for DOS (like The Dark Eye, Bad Mojo, etc). However, it's way less stable than the current version (without CD support), so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Another dump.
Bad Mojo freezes the system during installation. Bad Day on the Midway has some strange issues. For some reason I stop moving after some time. It could be a feature in the game, a streaming bug (don't think so), or an ingame bug (most likely). In any case, I'll see how Gadget works, and if it ends up bugging the living shit out of me, I'll either move back to the version without CD-ROM support or use it to play Droiyan with music and cutscenes (or I could watch them separately, there are only two cutscenes in the game, as far as I can tell).

Also, I recommend everyone interested in tactical RPGs to try Icarus: Sanctuary of the Gods (aka Droiyan). It's pretty good, though takes some time to get harder.

If anyone beats the game, feel free to read the following:
Droiyan 2 is not available in English, only Russian and Korean versions are present. Guess the years of studying the filthy Russkie language are starting to pay off. :smug:
If you beat the game and had fun, suck it down, unless I'll bother to take a look at the possibility of a translation.

Red Lucy is a stern yet feminine woman who gave me a shit ton of money for killing stuff, and then rewarded me with sex and a cool shotgun (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dinner_Bell). I think this is what they mean with representation of women in videogames. Clearly, there aren't women as great as her in real life.

But seriously, I think New Vegas has many amazing women. Julie Farkas, Cassandra Moore, Sunny Smiles, even Veronica, if you get past the fact she's voiced by Felicia Day. It's such a pity that Josh backed FF and Anita, in return, fabricated dirty evidence to support the claim that NV was an example of a sexist game.

HEYA! IT'S ME, IMOEN!

Now imagine an entire game of nothing but Imoen and Aerie.
Every single day I long for death to take me away from this videogame.

After the initial recon of Commander Boreale and the Blood Ravens, the High Lords of Terra decided to dispatch the Hammer of the Emperor to deliver the killing blow in Dyrwood.

The mission was entrusted to the 8th Cadian Regiment under Lord General Castor.
