This monster always triggers me so hard. I gotta say it was one of the few moments where I had to stop and think. I think a guard tells you to be quiet around that thing since noise makes it go berserk, but when I was a kid my english sucked so that part got me to the point of almost ragequitting.
...
To be honest I do feel like playing Half Life again. Such a shame that the sequels turned it into a glorified tech demo...

Is this some Koei Dynaty Warriors rip-off or a new part with a stronger than ever weaboo feeling ?

It's Arslan Warriors of Legend. It's a Koei game based on some animu I've never heard about, very similar to DW (there are some small changes but nothing that really impacts the gameplay in a significant way). As for the weabooism despite it's cartoony graphics it's seems less silly, kawaii or whatever than DW/SW (at least so far, I haven't finished the game yet). There is more focus on the story (nothing special but a good excuse for all the killing) and it's better presented and more engaging than in Dynasty or Samurai Warriors.

A couple a old games i used to play the shareware versions alot, now i got full versions and i had to finish them.

Nebula Fighter
The final shareware boss, i could killed him without taking one hit when i was younger.

Every level has a boss, and every boss drops a new weapon (not always a better one).

I didnt expect this background to be in the game.
JXzVYO7.jpg

And it just gets weirder.

The final boss, it just comes down to how many lives to spare you have, at this point.
yY1Zbs0.jpg

It comes with a windows launcher but it still lags occasionally and has problems with colors on some screens
With all the different weapon types and background styles it fells like a very different game from the shareware version.

Alien Rampage
I thought i liked this game and then i remembered these guys, and the escort/protect jobs to finish the level.

More different enemies and clumsy controls.

Now those tits look even more saggy in motion.

The last shareware boss was a pain, because the added traps on his level, but this new bosses are just a dodge fest with destroying them one piece at the time.
MDiTp5U.jpg

And the game even has flying sections.

The last areas of the game have the most beautiful backgrounds but also most confusing puzzles (teleporters).

New backgrounds, new enemies but the gameplay fells the same as the shareware version.
I think i confused this frustrating game with a good game when i was a kid, and now i just finished it with cheats on the last levels, because i dont want 20 years from now to become obsessed with it again as "the one good game i never finished".

Thought processes of typical modders are obviously completely alien to baseline human beings. So, thinking about that image too much will only result in you sanity being damaged to ever greater extent...
