Dragon Quarter wasn't a bad game. I can see why people didn't like it, but it's got plenty of Incline for a JRPG. It's nice to see a challenging, action points-based TB combat system where traps and positioning play a big part in success. Resources are scarceuntil you start New Game+ shenanigans., especially when the only healing you get is through consumables. I like the dystopian angle, but I can imagine it was turn-off for a lot of people. Nearly every location you visit looks downtrodden and shitty... people may have warmed up more to a 'cooler'. Midgar-like slum.
