Forever interns vs veterans who use their knowledge well.

I mean is there some technological reason, or is this kind of graphics just fashionable for some reason?

The lattest.
But by fashionable you mean lack of style? Then yes.
I can see better style in random tumblr artworks.

"Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, floater?"

Just realized these are only 4K - I've got the game running at 5K but it seems that Dxtory can only handle up to 4K when it comes to games running fullscreen.

There's a p. huge difference in effort between those two at least. Making one map in PoE probably involves way more people than the entire art team of a game like MI2 remake.

Even a company with 200+ employees like Obsidian had to outsource the wilderness areas if you'll remember.

It's fashion: people have an idea of what games should look like, but every notion varies according to the game's genre. An adventure game might look like shit but you just can't have an rpg with mediocre graphics.Where's my immersion? I mean, everybody knows adventure games are only about puzzles and/or meaningful moments, right?
You know the drill.

5k waifus.

The armies at Verdun killed themselves because they knew they would never have 5k waifus.

Since there is no proper fanbase around this game, you're my only hope.
Playing King's Field: The Ancient City and just stumbled into game breaking bug. I'm halfway through the game, putting into it a bunch of hours and don't want to start all over again.
So all the area behind two doors area sealed, you go into the darkness and you're dead. It happened when I entered the room with NPC, before that everything was fine. I could load save file, but the problem is that I'm playing on emulator and with save state function.

Any ideas? Maybe someone else got the same problem?

Known emulator issue, check PCSX2 guide for a workaround.

Try Changing the EE round mode to negative before you get to the area causing you problems.
