Looks like i found the cause of the problems.

Fighting in tight places is annoying, there are weapons like grenade launchers and flamethrowers that could be useful but i am the wrong class to use them.

Hell has many levels.

The game is pretty buggy and can lag alot, especially if you are approaching a big group of enemies or changing your equipment. Also crashes at random on win7 without compatibility for winXP.

Zoom in close enough and get the FPS view, not very useful in a hack and slash game.

Tentacle pistol, the best invention since gunpowder, well besides the mindcontrol weapons.

Some buildings can be entered from the street for loot or for enemies to jump out.

The dark level, only light source is a flashlight helmet that you carry. Not a big deal, my minions dont need to see the enemy, would hate to play it with a different class.

Flying enemies coming from above, enemies spawning from the ground and i already lost half of mine minions and cant see what im shooting at, the game really gets intense sometimes.

I have always liked how Xanathar's lair has this gaudy CGI-meets-rich-Russians decor. It is plainly in terrible taste, but it is completely appropriate. A modern game would probably go for the Aliens aesthetic if they wanted to have a beholder lair. EoB went with bad wallpaper, and it is spot on. :obviously:

But does the magic carpet match the drapes?

The ending was dropped due to disk space.

It was added into the Amiga version for its budget re-release.

It is good, but not as good as EoB1. Better graphics, but it is completely linear, has many more chokepoints, and a couple of lolwut bullshit puzzles.

Melan is correct. EotB is amazingly free-form in its design, you can skip about half the game and still beat it. EotB2 forces you to go through each section in a specific order - no deviation permitted. The aforementioned Medusa puzzle, for example, cannot really be solved without having a Mage using the Hold Monster spell in copious amounts, while there are no puzzles in EotB1 that require any specific class.

EotB2 also has a 'dead end' scenario that can screw you over. To help you avoid it: Once you reach the floor with the Beholders, make a backup save because you need to get a Crystal Hammer before you leave the floor, and players tend to find (and inadvertently use) the exit before they find the hammer. And unless you break the game on purpose, there's no going back to that floor.

(If you think that's bad, I could go on almost forever about EotB3 and it's bullshit design.)

This is the PERFECT example of Audiolog Syndrome (see the Thief FM thread for further info). This is not something that you ever write down. Ever. This is phrased in a manner as if you're speaking to someone else, not writing it down. It might make sense as a part of a spoken audiolog message with an intended recipient, but not like this. Never like this.
