Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Half Life: Echoes

Very impressive mod when it comes to the size of the level and the architecture plus puzzles are in balance with the combat situations. At the beginning due to the ammo shortage I was moving forward really fast trying to survive the teleporting aliens. Later on it's more comfortable for the player, plus the green flares were too much of a help when it comes to finding extra supplies. There is no new weapons, or enemies (excluding the upgraded Alien Grunt with a shield mode, which is just a variation of a known foe). HL:Echoes has some models taken from the sequel, and the story tries to ties both parts with some explanation of the events. It took me at least 2 hours to beat it and I wouldn't mind if it was longer. It's good to know, that some people still care for the game despite having almost 20 years.

Alright thanks, I'll consider that, it was just that I really didn't know what game that was, so I asked a question. Yeah, as simple and logical as that. But now that I think about it, it'd probably get more interesting if I'd started guessing the title of the game instead of asking directly. :)

Welcome to one of the hidden joys of this thread.

Also, playing Thief is kinda mandatory if you're a serious PC gamer... at least until you get a good feel for the game.

Biomechanical Toy

Arcade platform game which I had totally omitted and was surprised how polished and good it is. Very creative levels, fair boss fights, and I even found an element that Shiny Entertainment used later on in MDK. You will know, when you see it. It was made for arcade machine, so the lenght is perfect.

Dark sun - Shattered lands
IaS0EiB.png

Decided to try it with the party setup that was suggested in one of the dark sun threads here.
Some secrets are to be found even in the slave pens.

And i like how the arena announcer comments on how well or how long you fight.

A little snooping around and some commiting of them good deeds can lead you to your escape.

I don't feel bad, for i don't trust this Trustee anyway.
Neither do i feel bad for this guy.
PofQ6ia.png

I encounter the Templar chief, who offers me an offer that i can't refuse. Something about working for him in exchange for fruits.
TL6iQ45.png

Which i, of course, refuse on the basis of him being a templar scum and me finding earlier the written memo that says that he is untrustworthy.
As an answer to this, he calls his mom guards.
I assume a better defensive positon to defeat all of the guards, as my answer.
yeEd2sk.png

After defeating all of the guards and looting everything that is not nailed down i finally found the locked secret passage.
I think i forgot about something, something about buttons. Oh well!

There is nothing to add here, methinks.

Didn't posted my pictures like I said I would.

So it's only fair now to compensate by uploading quality pics from a excellent and highly :obviously: game I've been having a blast playing these days.

A very underrated, under appreciated game, with excellent gameplay and amazing atmosphere, that it's now unfortunately abandonware.

He's very fun to play, and this the closest will get to a excellent Connan action game.

The whole game just captures the feel and aesthetics of Robert E. Howard Connan stories like very few works do.

Now onwards to the Temple of Ianna! And after that the Enemy shall feel my wrath!

My main issues with the game are:
-the small enemy variety, I mean they are well designed but by half of the game it starts to gets old;
-the level design ranges from pretty good and fun to mediocre, and considering there are just 13 levels (17 with the first level of each character), each taking around 1 hour, they should all have a consistent level of quality from beginning to end.

But overall it's just a fucking gem. And I am sure if Rebel Act managed to gather the success they deserved we would get a sequel that improved in every way. A shame we don't live in the alternate universe were that happened.

The enemy variety was limited by the need to have different movesets to challenge the player. I agree they could've at least added some more "pallet-swap" enemies for visual diversity though. I wonder how new players react to Severance. I remember the weird movement system threw me when I played the demo, but I think most people can adjust to it very quickly.

Quick run down. He's pretty much a glass cannon - his defense and HP are shit but he's quick and fucking annihilates anything that's in front of him.

-the small enemy variety, I mean they are well designed but by half of the game it start to gets old;
-the level design ranges from pretty good and fun to mediocre, and considering there are just 13 levels (17 with the first level of each character), each taking around 1 hour, they should all have a consistent level of quality from beginning to end.

But overall it's just a fucking gem. And I am sure if Rebel Act managed to gather the success they deserved we would get a sequel that improve in every way. A shame we don't live in the alternate universe were that happened.
I approve of this post and choice of character.

Rebel Act
They kind of split after that.

Project Leader (Xavier Carrillo Costa) founded Digital Legends (mobile) and some people from Blade of Darkness worked on their first title ONE (2005), like Luis Vaello (BoD lead designer and art director) and Oscar Araujo (BoD composer and sound designer).
While others like Enric Alvarez (one of BoD level designers) founded quite famous MercurySteam. Later Luis Vaello and Oscar Araujo joined them and worked on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

Apparently things went downhill after the success of the first LoS.
Enric became quite the tyrant and story about this went public. Allegedly this was the reason why LoS2 got such low scores.

At this day MS made an online game no one cares about and Luis joined Tequila (Deadlight, Rime).
