For some reason, Sekiro's controller profile on steam binds the DS4 gyroscope to mouse movement. Just right-click the game, go into "Edit Steam Controller Config", go to the gyroscope bind (should just say "MOUSE"), and bind it to "none".

I think you have to toggle it in Big Picture settings since it isn't on by default. If you're playing a Steam game there's no reason to keep DS4Win on.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.

Yeah, I figured that out now. But I remember a year ago Steam support for DS4 did NOT work, at least not for DS2. That's what got me confused.
Anyway it's all fine now. After an hour of messing with this. Sheesh.

The game is a lot harder than I had anticipated. The combat is very fast paced, and frantic as well. It's definitely going to take some getting used to because so far the General fights have seemed to be 60-70% luck when I managed to take them down. They really did nail the feeling of being an actual Shinobi with all the tools and Arts that you can learn. I really like the gap closer follow up slash to the Shuriken tool. The axe tool skill hits hard but I haven't been able to find a situation where it'd be actually useful yet. All the big HP enemies are too fast to use this skill against.

Beat ogre after 20 tries by playing it like a fucking souls game... dodge + R1:negative: would be much faster if i had fucking fire prosthetic at that time. Jouzu the Drunkard took me like a 3 tries. Just stealth kill some of his guys and than separate and kite the rest. Jouzu is weak to fire and there is NPC that will draw his attention so you can spam R1 on his ass. Shinobi hunter was kicking my ass but i used some potion that made me harder to detect and stealth killed almost all guys around him and got one of his life bar with another stealth attack. Oil jar+fire prosthetic and nibba was dead:cool:

Exploration is fucking great in this game but i am seriously doubting my skills and i feel i might not be able to beat this game. I am right now stuck at lady GILF and she is raping me. After 2 hours i finally managed to get deathblow on her only for her to get a new life bar. The second phase of her fight is even more difficult and i just cant get the rhythm of deflecting her attacks and hitting her reliably even in the first phase:oops: Maybe i should try fighting that guy on the horse but i haven't found fire crackers tool so he will probably trample me. I wonder if there is somewhere 3 rd path at that time in game?

My ass is sore from all the butt clenching moments in this game but so far it is easily GOTY for me :obviously:

For me the combat is a bit frustrating. I dont mind that its hard but the fact that you have to continuesly attack is annoying. Stop attacking to long for whatever reason and you have to start over again feels like I have no impact at all.

Just got to the Gyoubu (dude on a horse). Shit is hard!

Did i miss a prosthetic upgrade or a skill? I only have a shuriken thrower and only one shinobi skill.

I think this game is designed to fuck up years of dexfag souls players muscle memory. Spamming rolls is my first instinct when playing, and here you need to do precise blocks to play well.

definitely. I have shuriken, axe and flamethrower and I just did the shinobi hunter (which was easy with the axe).

axe and flamethrower are in the estate memory.

I had two other prostetics by the time I got to horse man, but I beat him without them. Shit was indeed hard.

So far game is hard but fair. As an aged, dirty casual I can usually get through by spamming proshetic arts at bosses and a bit of luck with my dodging.

Game reminds me a bit of Shadow Tactics with the sneaking and taking out of enemies to clear paths.

For the horse dude I think firecrackers are the key. There’s a merchant near the guy standing guard with the big gun that I think sells them.

You need to take a bell an old lady gives you in Ashina to the Buddha near the Sculpter and a new area will open up.

I broke shields of 2 enemies with my very first hit of it, is that supposed to be not useful enough?
That's not what I mean. You can learn skills that perform follow up attacks to your tools. The one for the Axe is a powerful slash, but the time it takes to use it is too long to be practical in any encounter where it should be useful.

Game got a lot easier after the first upgrades. Being able to live for just one more hit, and being able to block a little more damage, makes a world of difference.

The horseman was piss easy honestly, I had more trouble with the mid bosses. I died once to him, and like 13 times to the giant prisoner.
Now I'm stuck on the old lady boss though, I got the rhythm for the fight for a moment and then immediately lost it. Reminds me of Hino-Enma from Nioh.

All this talk reminds me of BB. "Its harder than Souls!", "it punishes your Souls muscle memory!", "Hardest From game ever!".

Couple weeks later: "Nah, it's easy as fuck."

Everything is hard until it gets easy, you faggots.
