Fairly shitty game to be honest, modders might save it but...
everything about it is boring

combat is simplistic and dull
writing is average at best
interaction is very limited and streamlined
its also very linear (like MW singleplayer kind of linear)
no variety in terms of gear
skills are just bland + - stat adjusters or flat damage dealers without any interesting effects.

overall - very meh, turned it off after 2 hours
Since you probably pirated it anyway....I say Good fucking riddance.

Chill Bro, you were begging same as me...You were just more successful.
Well my unstoppable charm kicked in. :)

To this day, when I go to Montreal, it's late and I walk by the same spots, I still choke out of nostalgia.... I get nearly semi teary eyed when I listen to the morgue music.

Now it is ruined,
Someone get HHR his pills. These are fucking videogames FFS. And the SNES one isn't so good at all to warrant these emotions.

The game must roll a seed for all enemies rather than individually. 3 guards critted me on the same round, same damage each time. And all your runners get weak attacks on the same round as well.

WTF @ RNG. That's terrible

My absolutely favourite level in the game that very much shows all its strengths, and even manages to fix some of the flaws. I wish the game was longer and filled with more runs like this.

Also,

Excuse me, Father Willy, does this handkerchief smell of chloroform? :troll:

Have been playing for an hour or so now and I keep hitting Q and F5. Then I just :(

But the best part so far has been the level prgression or skill-tree or what-not. I've actually had to contemplate a bit on where I should be putting all those karmapoints. I just hope to Christ the game doesn't just hand exp to you like free donuts, breaking the difficulty completely. Playing on Hard right now.

Sorry but the first big meta event at the morgue was really bad, equal to fighting the Butcher in Diablo 3. Really corny.

It only becomes "corny" when you keep specifically questioning him about it. If not, it's never mentioned again other than the passing mention that he's used to waking up in morgues. You're just looking for every reason to nitpick.

What's the deal with the "Remaining Downloads" in the Backer site?

This is a quirk of the backer site and we'll be resetting this periodically as updates are pushed up. Rest assured, we want you able to play the game!

Are you planning to include any Steam Achievements?

There are no plans for adding any achievements system for the game, no.

Goddamn final boss glitched and I had to restart the encounter. Finished it now, good stuff.

Main complaint I have is that melee weapon progression sucks a lot. There's only 5 melee weapons and all work the same way save that some have -1 damage for an extra -1 AP on crit. Plus the difference between the worst and best melee weapon is only 3 damage.

Got 226 karma total (final save says 216 but I had 10 left to spend). I wonder what's the max you can get.

Also I told you cooldowns would ruin magic. Just sit back casting 2~3 buffs and heals every turn and never worry about dying. It's fucking retarded how they had to infect the game with cooldowns when the pnp has such cool spellcasting rules

I'm just finishing up the Seamstress Union part so I'm not that deep in the game but it seems more and more that I should start over with human or elf. There doesn't seem to be much content for trolls and now I got seriously annoyed by how there is no information whatsoever(or I'm just blind so help me out here) about which armor or clothing fits which race. None of the good armors that I could buy fit my troll and I had to buy them and try to put them on to know that I can't use them. Was "Doesn't fit on trolls." at the end of item description such a difficult thing to do?

Anyway, so far I'm relatively satisfied. I wasn't expecting much, so it didn't have any trouble exceeding my expectations. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far.

The only thing that I find bothersome is that it really does feel like a mobile game. I don't even know why it bothers me, but it's just like this constant niggle at the back of my mind.

Woaaah guys check shadowrun returns steam forums thing. It's a fucking wasp nest on fire.

Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter is a Scam
I just want to start off by saying that I'm not trying to start a flame war. But I can't help but feel like this was a scam. The kickstarter for this game originally only asked for $400,000 dollars, It ended up getting $1,836,447. I'll go ahead and say it. This is NOT a game that was made with a budget of 1.8 million dollars. No voice acting, below average animations, and a very short campaign. Where the hell did they money go? Now I'm no game developer. But I know for sure this game didn't cost 1.8 million dollars to make. I'm pretty sure the developer just pocketed some of the money and that in my opinion is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If I wanted to read a ton of text I'd just read a book. Just saying.

Dafuk is this shit? Chris-chan video logs made into video game format? full of trolls.

Something I should check. Can you change the difficulty after you start the game or does that only modify new games? I created on normal but soon realised that it's too easy.

I think you can change it in the main menu.

I take it back, This community apparently consists of mainly drooling fanbois. The concept of FREE community supported Voice talent is obviously beyond you forun trolls and the obvious impact they have in an RPG (Bioshock Infinite, Dragon Age, Skyrim) you're also oblivious to.

Just go back to your basement tabletops and your posters of Sarah Michelle Gheller and I'll just pitch this into the 'whoops' Steam bin with the others.

Because it shows that it's a mobile game? It doesn't annoy me much, my main gripe with the game(beside the really confusing pseudo-inventory system) is that stupid help button. It has only most basic information and all windows look like copypasta from generic manual, it would make more sense to have actual tutorial in the game instead of this big ass alarm at the beginning of the first fight "This game is turnbased!".

Good question, but there is some spread out there depending on stuff you do, it would seem. Got 221 on first playthrough, 202 on second.

I always find it hilarious when people complain that RNG isn't good enough because it doesn't provide results they expect . Btw there is no reason to have separate seeds for each actor unless they are using PRNG with period that is smaller than number of rolls you need (this definitely isn't the case here, and even if it is you can always reseed it when necessary). In other words probability of 3 crits followed by 3 misses is the same no matter how many PRNGs they use.

Edit: Actually it is possible that they did use separate seeds for all enemies but fucked up and gave everybody the same seed, it's easy mistake to make because usually you use time as seed when randomness isn't important (like here). But if that happened enemies would always have exactly the same rolls until PRNGs were reseeded (they could reseed them on each round). If they used same seed for all rolls you wouldn't have this problem. This is all assuming they fucked up and that you didn't just got unlucky rolls.

Guys, can you explain someone who didn't follow the development in every detail why "it shows that it's a mobile game"?
Or why it is a mobile game at all?
