Yeah videogames have trouble keeping things low-key. I mean, even in PA and cyberpunk games they have to make you save the world

holy shit xenforo won't let me quote

All hirelings in this game seem underpowered compared to your runner, and Tir Ghost wasn't an exception
He did kill the blondy bitch for me though, although I had to buff him with hawk totem, aim and maxed speed so he'd start pulling his weight

This adventure is quite dickish when it comes to actual, existing C&C, I can say. You can miss the quest for necklace by just being rude with NPC (first line, I believe) , and whole mission for Coyote by saying to her that you're busy with tracking the murderer. But opening new, different from regular run missions, nah, we don't want that do we.

There is already a user made run that gives that open world feel :) Enjoying the game much more using that even though its rather buggy

Pretty much this. Not sure why everyone's only checking out the OC, the user made modules do a much better job of feeling like a real RPG in many ways. Going from the OC to The Lost Lamb felt like getting out of a cramped car after a long road trip.

Can anyone tell me how to read the entire description on items? I can't figure it out for the life of me!

I guess all 1.5 million went into art and programming, not a single buck left to actually give this game some nice quests and C&C eh, so you'd have to wait for modders to turn engine into actual RPG with content we actually expect from RPG's.
Adding an option to return and explore previous locations once or twice, with new NPCs and quests would do this game so much good, as well as, maybe, finding unique runners through quests to add them to regular stock, and hunting for interesting equipment and information. Good amount of free running is what OC misses. And I don't believe it wasn't in their power to actually deliver some side content on the level of main quests.

Seems like nobody knows yet (nothing on their site either), but there's this thread posted five minutes ago.

Patch 1.0.1
Fix for issue with final battle occasionally not advancing.
Fix for issue with AI occasionally not using self-buffs and IC Charge.

Version number is listed inside your PDA

edit:
Seriously, it looks, feels, is written and plays like a fucking Iphone game man.
This is the beggining of the incline that we so desired?
Uh, no. Have you ever seen an iphone game?

Well now they fix it! :M

Well I hope that's not all because that's a huge patch for two hotfixes. Also does anybody have a problem where the game gets sluggish as fuck for a few seconds while the interface is loading? Like when you Load a game, open inventory or between loading screens.

Do not shoot the whore in the face multiple times before she is done with pillars.

I went straight for her and killed her in a few turns. Didn't have any issues. End fight was super easy that way too.

Final character:

I always play charming ladies with pistols (or daggers) in RPGs for my first go, so that's what I did here. As others have said though, the etiquettes are pretty useless overall so in the future I'll only charm it up that much if I am a shaman. Imagine all the extra body and pistol skills I could have procured in exchange for the thousand or so nuyen all that charisma got me.

Final game thoughts: nice strategy game, disappointing RPG. Hopefully modules can beef up the RPG stuff and make it epic. I love the world and writing. I played with the editor and made a little dungeon mission in no time, so I might make some stuff for this. I would guess it the editor gets exponentially more unwieldy the more open world you try to make the module though, so I would probably stick to the main game formula.

To my everlasting shame I have to admit I am having my ass kicked while decking. I took the game's advice and hired Dodger, who either sucks terribly or I don't get the Matrix rules. I usually manage to fight my way to the final node and die like a sucker or with a bit of luck kill all the enemies, run out of time and get raped by black ice.

The rest of the team in the real world meanwhile turns the incoming kill teams into dog chow, so this is doubly irritating.

Any tips on how to suck less at l33t h4xx0ring?
I used Dodger for that mission too and diddn't really have any problems, other than getting dumpshocked due to the alarm bar filling up right while I was fighting the ice in the last 'room' -- but that was my stupidity, really, because I was really sloppy about using the suppress ability (4-turn cooldown, 3 AP, lowers alarm by a decent amount). If it looks like the alarm will cap out anyway, use both your ESPs (they don't work like spirits in that they don't reduce your AP and you can control multiples at the same time) -- the exploder one does an insane amount of aoe + dot damage when it kamikazes on the enemy, and the other one can shield you. Both of them have a 'normal' attack too, and provide enemies with an additional target.

Other than that, just keep using abilities as needed. Definitely use the AOE attack skill every time it's up, even against a single target (better hit chance than your normal attacks). Firewall is also nice to plant around you when you're getting swarmed by melee ice (cubes). Also, most of the ice only has 2 AP to your 3, so if you need healing badly, you can hit them with an attack and run away as far as you can (breaking LOS) and they won't be able to hit you.

Raise your hand if you found the Tir Ghost a piece of crap by got it anyway because its cool.
I used him just to get another aegis cannon... and that was definitely useful when my shaman and big H both kept whiffing on the immortal spirits.

His accuracy was ass compared to my PC and the other runner I hired. As you say though, it worked out really well to have the extra Aegis thing. I ran through that whole last run pretty easily, honestly. The corporate one before was harder for me.

I've been playing the game, and haven't really been impressed by the dialogue. It's at about a 3rd grade level. But then again, I am new to this franchise, so maybe it was always geared towards children. Outside of that, the gameplay is what it is, nothing to amazing or horrible, just something to do.

I looked around the game's files and there's plenty of fancy portraits in there you can't normally access because they're all for various individual backers. Kind of sucks cuz portrait options in the game itself are pretty poor.

Hey guys, I think Im stuck close to the last mission:

I've cleared this room of spirits and now I've no clue as to what should I do. There's no usable objects, no additional spawns.. nothing. I've skipped about 10 turns already and there's nowhere to backtrack from the looks of it since the level is very linear. Halp...

if you put points in willpower/magic as a custom class character are you going to get those spells after the tutorial battle or is there something I'm missing about how to equip them?
