Oh, Man!!!! I don't have 10 Grand!! Except, I would want one of the original 12.On Friday, the designer who goes by the nom de cyber Lord British launched a Kickstarter effort for a new game called Shroud of the Avatar. Like many crowdsourced projects from game designers that enjoyed their peak of popularity in the 1990s, Avatar is pitched as a spiritual successor to the classic gameplay of that era. And fans with deep pockets who back Garriott’s Kickstarter to the tune of $10,000 will find themselves with a reward perfectly suited to the devotee of all things Ultima: A tour of Garriott’s elaborate home Brittania Manor — and a now incredibly rare original copy of Akalabeth.

"It's just a shame to see so many already wealthy industry old-hands making hay with all these old-fashioned role-playing games when so many dramatically more inventive and ambitious ideas from smaller studios are failing to reach their targets," he added.
No more so than everyone denying him a chance to have a Kickstarter, because he is already wealthy."It's just a shame to see so many already wealthy industry old-hands making hay with all these old-fashioned role-playing games when so many dramatically more inventive and ambitious ideas from smaller studios are failing to reach their targets," he added.
That, however, is highly disrespectful and ignorant to the entire situation of kickstarter.
It sure speaks volume of their community manager (or whoever is making those comments) though.I like how the dude is revealing people's pledges publicly without their permission.
That's a pretty outlandish idea that there should be some kind of privacy protection on which internet names donated only a dollar to a given project. Massive over-inflation of importance.
