The Unofficial Skyrim Patch has been successfully ported over by Arthmoor, Bethesda gave him an early copy to allow this to happen for launch.

So people assuming Bethesda would fix jack shit for Special Edition were right on the money all along. Modders really are fixing their games, for real now.

Yeah why didn't they just integrate this patch into the release?
Can someone tell me why is Skyrim: Special Needs Edition so hideously colorful?
I know the original sometimes went overboard with desaturation, but SE looks almost like Oblivion or particularly distasteful ENB preset.
Can someone please explain why is everyone so hyped for a bunch of graphical tweaks? This is the most jewish thing I've ever seen.
There was a quest in vanilla where you communed with the Daedric Lord Peryite by inhaling fumes from a cauldron and getting high - with hallucinations, hypersaturated vibrant colours. A lot of the new material looks just like that. Can someone tell me why is Skyrim: Special Needs Edition so hideously colorful?

Skyrim was always meant to be somewhat colorful from what I can see in the concept art. The areas that were meant to be bleak (the northern tundra, windhelm etc.) seem to have kept that same vision in play as well.
kekRequiem.
Meanwhile I used texture packs like Sexy Whiterun to turn the saturation up to 11.

Pretty sure the only reason Beth is doing this is to release Skyrim on current-gen consoles. I don't blame them really -- if the consoletards want to shell out $60 for a five year old game then I would take their money too.
But for us in the master race I don't see anything worth caring about.

You're a senseless waste of eyes.
You could try jamming sporks into your eyes then - should make the offending visuals irrecognizable.Meanwhile I used texture packs like Sexy Whiterun to turn the saturation up to 11.

As far as I'm concerned, the less it resembles Bethesda's vision of the game, the better.
