Has Riot been messing with normal matchmaking recently? Maybe reset ratings by mistake?
For quite some time, whenever I go for a normal game game without bros from Codex, I get much much worse opponents and teammates than I used to. I mean, I was never pro enough to get my hidden elo to 2k and I was matched with people who make quite a lot of mistakes (well, I do so to) but at least they used to understand the most basic concepts of the game. They weren't charging 1v3 into enemies, carries were backing when I pinged them to instead of starting fight only to get killed by 4 people and blaming mid for no ss etc. Well, sometimes they did but now such dumbfuckery is present in every game. Most importantly, people I played with used to understand that taking objectives is a pretty important and it's better to take a tower after an ace instead of recall immediately.
Checking player's profiles seem to confirm my suspicions; while I used to get matched mostly with gold rated guys or people who don't play ranked at all, with 1-2 platinum/diamond every game, recently I've been getting almost exclusively silver rates dudes and even some bronze scrubs.
It would be possible that my hidden rating dropped significantly but it's very improbable considering I was winning a bit more games than losing.

Maybe that's because all the russians left for their server. 
Although quite frankly I noticed a significant gap between the teams I used to get in normals and I got in normals after my last big break from LoL. A gap as in there's no jungler on both teams like half of the time, as if I went back in time to the level 20 days or something.
It's possible they did change the rating/matchmaking algorithms and did a soft reset guessing nobody would notice because it's lol normals. Either that or the game became way more popular and is flooded with newbies.

I'm addicted to Ashe adc, somebody please help me, I don't even know what I'm doing I level 1 burst Draven for 50% of his hp and then we get 4-manned constantly because we're winning too hard.

Oh my god, Lissandra is so much fun! She feels like Anivia in that sort of "Welp, doesn't matter if I go 10/0 or 0/10 - my CC and utility will be enough to win the game anyway."
But Liss seems even harder to play to the fullest... I'm too old for blinks and quick reaction times.
Still, I had so much fun E'ing into teams to snare them all while they can't hurt me and take big damage, or R'ing that Kha who thought it was a good idea to dive our carry, or just generally permanently slowing down anyone who tries to flee. She's a real teamfight animal!

Enemy team picks ryze, mid is open on our team. I'm looking at my champ list and thinking "plant lady, why not?" and pick zyra. Went 9/1/6, 25 minute /ff from them.
People forget how much of a ridiculous bully she can be, although granted if they have better poke than you or mobility she kind of sucks.

Ashe, what is best in life? Have suicide missile shen as support, have wank jungle hecarim one of those players who considers leaving the team for 6 minions always a good late game plan, have everybody from mid to top come feed your lane more THEN they bitch at you for not picking off some random low health target with ultimate while you're the only one not feeding and actually got some kills and farm out of the impossible bot situation. So when you're actually winning, it's best to have hecarim head for 6 minions again when the enemy has baron meanwhile suicide missile shen charges 1v5. Your team knows ADC however, you should take BARRIER vs. Nasus, yes tell me more.
So in short having everybody not give a shit because LOL I CAN'T FALL BELOW GOLD V is best in life.

I just lost 13 (normal) games in a row.
I didn't get a single honor in those.
When I log back in after a break Riot gives me my yellow ribbon back AND gives me great mentor as well.
I have all ribbons now.
And I just had to lose 13 games in a row without getting any honors.
Clearly I am an outstanding member of the community.
