Somehow it looks interesting and charming enough to play it eventually, even though I'm not really interested in Southpark anymore these days.
With an patch adjusting the difficulty a bit it might be really worth it.
Then again I don't feel like paying 50 bucks for several hours of Southpark's try-hard-to-be-offensive humor, so I'll probably wait for some sale.

It's based on a major nerd television franchise and made by an established video game Company with a cult following among nerds. The quality of the game has nothing to do with the high scores, because the actual game is quite obviously a bullshit Cash grab.

You're a seller that puts out a product. Do you determine the price you sell said product based on:

a. The lowest price that fits the quality/production price or
b. The highest price that you think the customers will put out to fit the hype/popularity of the product (especially when you'll be selling the product for a much lower price in 6 months time anyway).

One of these options guarantees a higher profit which in turn equals growth, financial stability, etc. Which one is that option?

How fanboy you are.

No challenge to combat, completely linear gameplay, combat mechanics ripped off from Paper Mario, gratuituous appearances by all the popular SP characters for no real reason and a 60 dollar Price tag for shit Graphics and voice acting by two Guys.

Yeah. Cash grab.

Yeah. Cash grab.
I''ve not played the game, but complaining that it has "shit graphics" means you hate the TV show's style; the game looks identical. So, not a valid criticism. Also, South Park game marketed to grab cash from South Park fans? The fucking nerve.

Everyone knows the game is a cashgrab and that it was basically just a means for Obsidian to get money and form a relationship with another publisher (which is good specially now that Ubisoft has been experimenting with CRPGs)

There's nothing to be upset about, nobody will remember this game in a few months and life will go on

Grab 3 times more Cash than is actually warranted. It looks like it would be OK for 15-20 dollars if you like South Park, but the current Price tag is downright insulting and a valid indicator of just how highly SP thinks of its fanboys.

And it has shit Graphics because of the style of the show, yes. This Means that the animation budget does not aid in justifying the Price tag.

The price tag probably has something to do with console releases, retailers and what not. And obviously the fact they can get away with it because of the license

Speaking of price tag - it's 22€ on Kinguin. Would probably be a better idea to wait til release day than preorder, though, as I've no idea how reliable they are with those.

Besides, preorders.

Bought it for 20 euros from a russian "friend". I don't know why people complain about the high price point, be savvy and prove that you are part of the PC Gaming master race. :D

So most review sites are reporting the game to be 10-12 hours long, which means it's going from "D1P" to "wait for a sale" in my book (or buying through a Russian "friend"). Hate to be a lengthfag but I really can't justify paying full AAA price for a 10-hour game.

You'd only be a length queen if you were avoiding a game that had something else going for it to justify the purchase.

Personally, I'll probably wait for more user reviews. Unlike the world of film, game critics are fucking retarded, and they're usually wrong, "universal" acclaim for Skyrim and Minecraft? Users are more reliable, and by reliable I mean they agree with me.

They don't now, nor have they at any point that I've seen. Must have missed the high point, (Or low point, review wise.).

But as long as New Vegas is rated higher than FO3, all is right in the world.

Yeah, and Oblivion is rated higher than F:NV.
All is right in the world, k.
