I went to sleep last night before it unlocked, woke up this morning and have been playing for a few hours. It's pretty fun, I've even died once because apparently I'm terrible at video games (I blame a lack of coffee).

So here in Euroland game unlocks still in two days or release is anticipated too?

12:40PM over here in the Ukwa and release date is 4th according to steam. If it really is today, I'd expect it to arrive around 7PM GMT if my last few preorders were any indication.

EDIT: Strangely, the release date info is from the 'coming soon' section of the main page. The game's page itself just has an option for pre-purchase with no release date or timer.

Coming soon indeed, while its already widely available on the high seas....

Tatsächlich konnte ich dazu noch gar nichts im Internet finden. Ich berichte darüber aber, weil es eine ziemlich wichtige Nachricht wäre.

Gerade habe ich aus einer vertrauenswürdigen Quelle erfahren, dass die deutschen USK18 Versionen von “South Park: Der Stab der Wahrheit” in einer großen Elektronikmarkt-Kette nicht verkauft werden sollen. Es wurde intern dazu aufgerufen, die angelieferten Spiele nicht anzubieten, auch nicht auf Nachfrage. Dies bezieht sich sowohl auf die PC- als auch auf die Konsolenversionen. Als Grund für den Rückruf der Ware wird angegeben, dass der Titel indiziert wurde. Falls das stimmt, ist es seltsam, dass das Spiel trotz der zensierten Nazi-Symbolik betroffen ist – denn eigentlich werden solche Änderungen ja vorgenommen, um eine Indizierung zu umgehen.
Ich versuche gerade, eine Bestätigung dafür zu bekommen. Bitte behandelt die Meldung bis dahin mit Vorsicht. Neuigkeiten zu dem Thema werde ich hier ergänzen.

Nachtrag: Amazon.de hat anscheinend soeben reagiert, denn das Spiel kann dort nicht mehr bestellt werden.
Einer Quelle von Gameswelt zu Folge ist eine falsche Version zum Presswerk gelangt, nämlich ohne zensierte Hakenkreuze. Wir können also davon ausgehen, dass sich die Indizierung auf die ungeschnittene Version bezieht. Das würde auch erklären, warum Amazon die digitale Version weiterhin anbietet. Man wird also sicher bald wieder die “erlaubte” Version bestellen können, wie lange es bis dahin dauert, ist nur die Frage.

Just met Kyle and Stan for the first time, 8 hours in. I don't doubt that the game is only 15 hours, but it doesn't feel short or linear so far.

From what I've found, you can buy it in Germany just fine (in a slightly censored version), but due to an error in the production plant, some retail versions are uncut international versions which would be problematic in Germany - therefore they have been recalled (and probably uncut will be banned). Digital should be fine anyway.

Use a vpn, set your steam download location to somewhere in the kwa and voila. Done, without piracy. I'm honestly surprised you lot aren't doing this as a matter of rule with that whole ridiculous cencorship thingie you huns got going.
