Swastikas are verboten in Germany J_C . Incidently that also means games can't have them.* They prolly missed one during QA and are now going through all their art trying to make sure no others slip through.

* I also remember that violence was usually toned down pretty heavily and that blood had to be removed from games there by law. Made for shit versions of games like Carmageddon back in the day with robots instead of pedestrians and so forth. Dunno if they still need to do this though.

It's not the "violence" i.e. the anal probing, but the Swastika. They fall into the law of "use of symbols of unconstitutional organisations". Now that does not apply to science, education and art. The later is why swastikas aren't a problem in any WW2 films. Games, on the other hand, are according to a ruling from 1994 (dealing with Wolfenstein 3D) not art. Now that may be crap, but no one since then botherd to fight the ruling, so it's: Film, theatre: Yes. Games: No.

Beginning of the game is pretty fun. Best voice acting of the decade, which is really sad if you think about it.

What if they added thirty hours of grinding and fetch quests, would that make the price fairer

you're from neogaf aren't you

:butthurt:

lol. why would i be butthurt because you're paying $60 for a 15hr rpg?
Why don't you answer the question?

Which should eventually be revised and I guess it will happen sooner or later.
In the meantime we have to put up with it.

I did answer the question but you decided to ignore it because it doesn't fit your narrative. Why don't you explain why a game that is 30hrs long automatically means fetch quests and grinding?

Codex 2014 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Divinity: Original Sin 2
I ran into my first serious bug - there's a quest where you have to do a DDR minigame to continue and the WASD keys don't work there (like you'd logically assume they would) but the arrow keys do. I don't know if that's intentional because the arrow keys aren't used for anything else and I'd think the smart thing to do would be to bind the keys that the player normally uses for movement, but whatever, it's not even a problem once you figure that out. Only other bug so far is that sometimes when I alt-tab out of the game sometimes a few of the character sprites flicker and disappear briefly, which is just kind of annoying.

The only other thing that's really annoyed me so far is a lack of a key bindings menu, which is just inexcusable on a PC release.

Why? Because they censore the game. Most part of the world gets a normal version, and Germany gets shafted because some dickhead cries him/herself to sleep if a nazi flag is shown.

I won't say a bad word about Angela even under threat of torture or death.

As I understand it, the swastika issue only affects the physical versions, but the digital versions have to be held back due to simultaneous release agreements.

So what is the actual release date in EU? Steam's popup window for the game says 4th but that was yesterday, and the main storepage says March 2014 (it was 6th some days ago, but not anymore apparently).

I guess you can understand that given Germany's special history, showing nazi symbols in media is met with a little higher scrutiny than in other countries.
That games are treated differently from TV is stupid and should be overturned, however.
Actually it would maybe be best if for once publishers woud go to court instead of caving in in advance.

I looked around a bit and according to one Southpark-fan-site, the developers said that they have overlooked one or more swastikas in their censoring efforts - whether that is the same issue in the retail version, or if they have pressed the entirely wrong version there, as has been reported earlier is still unclear, though.

Eurobro here, and from what I know (that one time the game bothered to show its release date yesterday) it's going to be midnight today.

Having a great time with this, as I expected to. Combat is very easy though, even on Hardcore, and Butters is OP as fuck. @ RPS moron bitching about the lack of graphics options.

....complaining about Graphic quality in a South Park game? That's like complaining that the beer you bought is wet.
