That goddamn button mashing scene in the UFO is borked. You have to basically hammer away at the thing like mad to get through the section. Carpal tunnel syndrome ahoy. Biggest bug so far and potentially a showstopper for a lot of people. There are already several threads up about it on the various forums. Otherwise I got stuck in an animation loop during the tutorial once and on a ladder as well. Nothing else jumped out at me and while I find especially a bug like the QTE one and the tutorial hangup bizarre for a game with such a dev cycle it is all rather minor compared to most other releases.

Game starts out a bit 'normal' for South Park with the whole 'larping' storyline but quickly, bizarrely and gloriously goes off the rails as soon as you finish the first mayor questline.

Can anyone comment on the controls? I have a gamepad, but is keyboard/mouse alright?

Tutorial Bug was solved in the patch. Apparently it was related to being a jew.

Yeah, I had a bug there. I sucked at blocking for at least 5 times and when I got it right (to counterattack), it bugged out (Cartman didn't say anything and I couldn't do anything).

The mongolian horde episode came so out of the blue that it genuinely made me laugh:

Never watched a single episode of South Park, but the game is really well-written. The looting, customization, and sidequesting are pretty addictive too. Can't say I like the skills, humorous descriptions aside, or the combat so far (never enjoyed the Paper Mario system), but I'm still at the beginning so maybe those become more varied further down the road.

Apparently there's going to be multiple DLC's with the first three being released as timed XBAWKS exclusive.

It appeared on GiantBomb though on the game's page. Can other people edit there? So, no idea if its accurate.

i'm sorry, but i can't take it anymore. everytime a hitler soundclip plays i can't do anything but laugh. no blocking, no attacking, just suffocating from laughter.

Probably Obsidian's best, if only because it's a South Park product first and foremost. All of the writing and voice-acting was done by South Park's creators, not by Obsidian.

That said, it all boils down to the usual shit that happens in any South Park episode. It's all fun while it's a satire of modern culture, but when the random non-sequitur crap starts kicking in, it's all downhill. You know, the talking stools, stoned towels, and anal-probing aliens kind of stuff.

Played it for about three hours, had a couple of laughs, and then uninstalled.

Trey is a superhero.

Eric Fenstermaker is credited as the writing lead on Obsidian's side. Would be interesting to hear what he contributed.

Apparently Tim Cain did some programming on this too.

Combat is insanely unbalanced, the mage class fire spell plus the perk(?) that gives you mana for each point of fire damage done... Makes for infinite mana and number of spells

Yeah, I saw both him and Anthony Davis in the credits.

Butters' level 6 ability is fucking hilarious. I can't help but smirk every time I use it.
Let's see how you like dealing with ME! HAHAHAHA!

Pretty sure that was a piece of equipment. I used it for about half the game, until I found some patches that did the same kind of thing. But yeah, infinite PP. Fully upgraded pyrobomb (or whatever it's called) plus a few +%damage patches one-shotted most enemies late-game.

Just finished it, obviously playing as a jew class on hardcore. Combat is very easy aside from one fight (which is completely optional, but i won't spoil it anyway). Overall it feels like an average south park episode with much less "social commentary" and much more retarded shenanigans. Which is nice. No bugs too, surprisingly enough.

Bought it with fake steam moneys, no regrets.
