I lost it when Token called the kingdom the KKK for the first time. He said something like
I didn't want to join the KKK at first, but the Grand Wizard made some really good points.
For those who don't know, grand wizard is the title of the head of the actual KKK.

Has anyone played through with multiple classes yet? Is there a big enough difference and does it actually warrant another playthrough?
I was planning on doing another playthrough as either a thief or warrior to check out any differences, but I'm probably going to wait a while before I do.

Anyone have any clue if Obsidian is getting a % out of the sales or is it a fixed deal like New Vegas was?

Those were awesome, that scene with the doctor made me laugh my ass off, even more so with the recent censorship drama, it was the icing on the
German
cake. As for the gnome scene, was a bit tainted by having woman and kids in other room. Spent some time just trying to get the audio right.

Xor Thief was fun, lots of blood, which is always good, backstabbing is enjoyable. I played ginger thief, with freckles and orange bowlcut and pasty skin, but no reference to it :negative:. Edit: Just realized on Steam that I did get a ginger specific achievement.
Day Walker
You defeated the Boss Hall Monitor while wearing freckles.

I also noticed you get KKK hero for beating the high jew. But there's none for beating Cartman, did anyone actually join the elves? I wonder if it's an achievement where you can only get one or the other..

I just read Neogaf and there are people saying that Obsidian had NOTHING to do with the quality in this game.

Because games apparently design themselves.

Yes, yes, don't read Neogaf and all that.

I kind of agree. Considering that Parker and Stone wrote the game and they ripped off all of the gameplay from Paper Mario, what Little inventiveness there's left in this game could easily have been put in by any other motherfucking game studio. They didn't need the people WHO made FONV for this travesty.

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing this game represents for Obsidian is 2 years they could have spent working on a game that actually needed their obvious talents.

As an RPG the game is utter SHIT, as a Southpark game i guess it's okayish. Quests, combat, dialog (while funny) are quite simplistic and boring. If i weren't the fan of Southpark that i am, i don't know if i would enjoy it at all. Well at least game is good for laugh or two, but i can't play it more then 30m-45m in a sit by how bored i get by fedex quest's and ff combat. So basically what's the difference between playing this and watching a few quality SP episodes or a whole season, beside you having to suffer from boring gameplay for a little fan service.

You joined a year ago, and you made you first post now to tell this? Are you retarded?

Why are these newfags coming out of the closet at the weirdest of times?

To be the bearer of truth. Watched an LP and I agree with the oldnewbies sentiments - this is SP fan porn and great for that but not very good as far as being an RPG is concerned.

He might be right (although I don't agree), but is just ridiculous to me that someone registers on this site a year ago, and suddenly he feels the urge to comment on this particular game of all things for the first time.

The PC port is pretty shitty. No key bindings, the button mashing is slower compared to consoles for some reason.
I'm amazed that the resolution is not locked on 720p.

Buy a game pad, they are $25 dollars. I have one for this exact reason.

playing it a little bit. I suck at this QTE crap. Seems like sometimes I click the mouse before even seeing a flash and get a perfect attack while when I click when the lights flash I get hit. Maybe the combination of the large screen tv and wireless mouse are causing latency issues.

I finished the game, I played it on the PC with an Xbox360 controller. I completed everything and it took me.... 16 hours. Fucking short as hell.

The combat is nice, but it could use some more balancing. The RPG elements could use some service too. Sadly, the game is also fucking easy as hell. I played it on hardcore, but it felt like oldschool easy. They overdid the
Nazi Zombies
too, the novelty wore off rather quickly. Other than that the humor was pretty good, typical South Park stuff. I had a great time playing and i'm looking foward to the DLC/Expansion. :D

BTW, I went over the old clips and leaks after I was done playing and noticed that quite a bit of stuff has been substantially changed or even ripped out. The game definitely went through a complete and major overhaul.

You seriously got this upset cause i posted my 1st post in this topic after a few years of lurking, sigh, are you trying to hard or just having some real life social issues. Anyway back to the topic.

At least, I, from my point of view expected much more from Obsidian game (because of the all the hype lately surrounding them). What i meant is, they didn't have to bother with lore, story, characters, voice actors, music, they had it all on the plate, and the best they got with is this Mario in time with FF combat bullshit (god damn was i disappointed when i got it as a kid expecting a true Mario game). I think some of you are idolising this only cause its made by Obsidian, but even then what was the last decent game they made, FNV ?!?, don't make me laugh. Well this is only my opinion, if you are enjoying it even better, but i would rather watch SP then play this chore fest. And sorry if you are butthurt cause obsidian had 0 contribution to this being a decent game expect making a flesh engine for it.

Does this game have romances? If it does, definitely worth a buy.

Boy, the combat is broken. I'm just picking perks and abilities basically at random, going for whatever sounds the funniest, and same for the equipment -- and I'm still pretty much completely immune to any damage in boss fights at this point. It's also so easy that I have to artificially pan out the boss fights to see the bosses' special attacks. :(

Otherwise enjoying it for the same reasons I mentioned earlier, i.e. loot, customization, and writing. Using the environment to knock out the enemies is nice too, though waaay too obvious.

Overall it's an ultra-casual game through and through, but a pretty well-done one at that. To be honest I didn't quite expect it to be this casual, though; dunno why.

Sounds like Obsidian all'right. It's enough for me, storyfag that I am, but why is it so hard to make a combat system that is not broken?

Tomorrow I'll probably going to get my gaming rig fixed up, so after 2 years of playing awesome games (seriously, nothing makes you play 90's stuff like a PC that cannot run Gothic 2 properly), I'll play something modern. This sounds like a good pick.

I don't know if anyone else chose the Jew class, but a skill unlocked at level 2 gives you permastun in 2 enemies, you only need Butters in your party popping up your PP for free, every turn. Non-stun immune bosses have been trivial so far. And then there's the bleeding stacking nobody is immune to. Combat is terribly easy.

That said, it never felt slow, grindy or in the way of my fun. The game is incredibly well done, captures the TV series perfectly and I feel like part of it. Also the fact that they don't need to censor adds some extra touches here and there. Interacting with the scenery to avoid fights is almost or more fun than going at them. And there's always a surprise in the form of explosion, reference or unexpected animation that puts a smile on my face :D

Having a blast with it TBH. Not best RPG ever but good enough game to keep me until the end.

And there is Obsidian game with the challenging in a good way combat? From what I seen, combat in this game is nowhere near the state of KotOR 2 one in that regard, where I had almost unlimited force as scout/warrior and just spammed stasis->lighting against waves of trashmobes.

A few hours in. Certainly not a deep or challenging RPG, but above average as chewing-gum type entertainment.

I am disappointed at how much of the humor is throwback stuff. Remember the Somali pirate ship? Well ... there it is, sitting there. That's the joke. Remember Mr. Lu Kim's war dance? Well ... here it is again. That's the joke. And then there's all the junk loot you find, apparently hundreds of items that do nothing other than say, "Remember that episode? Huh?" It all makes me wish that I hadn't already seen the show - a lot of this stuff would be way funnier. I pretty much knew this would happen when they showed that preview with Mr. Slave way back in the day, but oh well.

The stuff that is original to the game is worth seeing, at least so far. I haven't lolled yet, but I've enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the second act when the real story is supposed to start.

I also think it's just fun running around town as a little kid LARPing as an elf slayer. The combat is easy, but it's just fun to shoot some kids in the face and then beat their stunned asses so they run home to their moms. Nothing wrong with that.

Level scaling? I haven't noticed and I don't care much (important: in this case). Levelling is still a meaningful system because of gear restrictions. I want to buy those gloves some day, but I can't use them until I'm level 6. Of course then combat will be even easier, but eh, I'm OK with that.

I'd recommend the game for $30 or so, which is what I (think I) paid for it back when GMG was taking preorders in 2012. I don't feel ripped off even if the game is short.
