Purchased right after midnight, Really enjoying the skill checks and locking myself into fail states.
While the underrail and fallout vibes have been mentioned a lot the design philosophy feels much more like Age of Decadence. The way changing character builds completely alters the experience, the expectation of failure and multiple runs to try and get further. The role playing being a mandatory part of gameplay and not just power systems.

It's frustrating, but quick enough that failing doesnt feel discouraging, but eager to try again.
One choice I have disliked is that some doors/elevators need to be re lockpicked every time they are used, making it easy to explore into a corner with no way to progress. With multiple save slots this would be fine, but with only the one, it would be nice if they stayed unlocked or had some other way to return without more lockpicks.

Even worse: I gotta restart now because my progress got wiped. Had 5 or so nodes unlocked on the main menu star map, all gone. The crash during that transitional video fucked everything.
wait, restart the app, stars may show up, yet. Your progress should not that easily be destroyed. Besides, there are 3 save slots.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Sorry for the shit resolution of the screenshot but I had to grab it with an outside screenshot tool as the F12 screengrab of Steam doesn't work with the game.

I sometimes get this bug where the entire background vanishes and you can just see the empty field of stars beyond.

Another bug report: when I use the Spriditis to fly back to my ship, then wake up the unconscious captain in her cabin, the combat sound chimes but I'm stuck in the dialog window with the captain.

LMAO and Santa can lead me back to the station despite no longer being at the station

Well, I guess I'll break my No More Early Access rule for this and throw in my support. Been watching this one for a very long time, and while I do wish the expected playthrough time was closer to 15-20 hours per character run, I love everything else about the game.

Congratulations on the early access release, Kamaz! Hope it's going well for you so far. Not sure if I'll enter the ranks of beta-testers, but if not, I eagerly look forward to a couple playthroughs once it exits early access.

Nice! Good to know this path worked out. Did you receive the `Egoist` achievement? At the moment it seems it's the rarest of all, very few people have triggered it (if any at all).

Just to clarify, you've spent 8 hours on the station or did you manage to explore other areas too?

No "Egoist" unfortunately.

My playthroughs were
* station, steal fuel + controller from orange ship, lucky out on pirate mainframe disable torps, and steal controller from engine (high sneak seems bit op wrt ability to pickpocket), more or less ignore the hostage stuff and the passengers (got really bad ending for the old lady :()
* second playthrough similar, but steal the whole orange ship, deal with passengers on bulta, pretty much same for the pirates.
* now doing a more diplomatic one, so much content and cool background there! Really cool finding out the crew of bulta are a bunch of bastards!

So in those 8h I never even set foot on the rock ship! But the station + Spiriditis + pirate ship I did explore quite throughly, though without engaging the crew.

Some bug that disappears after reloading area.

EDIT:
Kudos on creating interesting characters, with their own motivation and goals.. I'm really torn between
trying to make people lives better on the rockship and venting the whole place due to the asshole security officer

* I think Kebe should be dressed, at least it seemed so from his description.

* having Edzus or Finn as companions stops you from taking off in shuttle. You get the get rid of witness message. Can be worked around by moving them far away directly.
* Several areas in the bow of Kurbads seem pressurized, while they are clearly open to space
* No Man's Land is showing up as pressurized, is that intended? Doesn't make much sense to me...
* Grand Theft Locksmith didn't complete even though I handed over the FOB to security forces. Maybe it's because I gave them the original fob I found in the tunnels instead of building one? IMO it sill should complete.
* KURBADS Story also didn't complete. I have 4 bullet points there, not sure what else needs to be found or is it a bug.
* On ORION next to the elevator control computer, in a locker, there's a "KURBADS elevator note". It should be ORION instead.

I don't see "egoist" in the list at all. If you meant "Social Outcast" then I got it!

Kurbads deck 0, Chief's PC, "controle"

Kamaz I've updated this post with some more bugs, to avoid spamming the thread.

Grabbed it and going to try it as soon as I can. I don't really play EA games anymore but this game will be the exception.
Probably because it looks like an Underrail, Age of Decadence blend with Maniac Mansion graphics.

After 13h of play, I've discovered 43% percent of story and 3 main endings. So it looks like 20-30h to get all of it I guess?

EDIT
Review I left on steam said:
What an amazing RPG!
There is no "number inflation", so common in modern games, so every skill point, every attribute matters. Playing a quiet nerd feels very different than playing a diplomat.
There is a relatively small amount of locations, but they are *packed* with content, and different builds are needed to see all of it. So every area feels bigger than what you just see on screen. There are multiple ways of achieving your objectives, some of them more obvious than others.
There's quite a lot of characters, with main ones having quite a lot of text and "lore" on them. Even secondary characters feel more fleshed out than many other games.
There are no exclamation mark quest givers, and the tasks that show up in your To Do list make sense, and feel realistic. There is nothing that would feel like a filler quest, just to pad for time. There also are a lot of branches to go through, so you can have a very different experience every play through.
The art style is very retro, kinda love it or hate it thing. Personally, I loved it. It's very clear what's what, with the small exception of travelling through very narrow corridors (the perspective used obscures where you should click next). I really enjoyed low-fi terminals.
I haven't done much combat yet, doing a stealth and then diplomatic playthrough first. There seems to be plenty of tactical options, even though there aren't that many weapons to choose from.
The UX is the only thing that I feel needs a some more work. Inventory can be filtered by group, but there's no sorting, while sorting by weight would be really useful. Building stuff in work benches takes bit too many clicks to my liking. Sometimes you can click a "Lie" popup while the skill check anim is still showing. It's also not very clear how your skill level relates to success/failure (i.e. what do you need to roll to succeed).
There's still couple of bugs left (game is in Early Access at the time of writing this review), but it plays great from start to finish, and I haven't encountered anything blocking.
Highly recommended for any fan choices and consequences!

Bought this to support the dev. I just realised you used to post updates on the IronTowerStudios forums and I had commented that the game looks really good! Had forgotten about it. Hope you make some good sales man.

Hotfix for Windows 7 / Steam Deck
Some players have reported issues with videos while playing Space Wreck on Windows 7 and, possibly, similar issues on Proton, and Steam Deck.

This version has an updated renderer/wrapper Electron 16.0.6 (shoutout to Joe Cool who suggested it!).

Let us know if it helps.

Thank you!

Here's the link to a thread about the original problem:

P.S.

If you experience any new issues because of the changed version, the previous build is available on the [stable] build from Steam BETA selection.
