Is it just me or comic book stories always sound like utter trash?

It's easy to make them sound like trash when they're summarized like that. :)

A couple of years ago there was an event where every universe collided with another universe, and thereby ending all of reality as we know it. The final two universes to collide were the Official Marvel Universe (Earth 616) and the Ultimate Marvel Universe (Earth 10xx-something). All of reality was then reshaped by Dr. Doom, who became its God.

A handful of characters from those two last universes managed to hide away in an escape pod and crash in Dr. Doom's reshaped reality. One of them was Miles Morales. When reality was 'corrected', Miles was one of a handful of non-Earth 616 characters to survive the process and find themselves in the newly restored Official Marvel Universe. Old Man Logan (a grey-haired Wolverine) is another such character.

Depends of the universe and the author. This is the main issue with the all the classic long running comic series.

So which Spiderman series is actually a good one? I always wanted to read a comic, but every time I looked it up, I cringed hard.

Look for starter's you got to understand that Superhero comics are for the most part light reading. Something not to be taken overly serious and that are meant to entertain, that's it.

If you want a more mature reading in this genre, then since people here have already mentioned the Punisher you can try Punisher MAX, which is the character's best run.

As for Spider-man you can always start with like his first 50 issues of his original run, the 1963's The Amazing Spider-Man, created and written by Stan Lee and the recently deceased Steve Ditko.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The Punisher isn't a hero. He's a psychotic vigilante.

The Punisher is the only real hero. Guys like Batman, Captain America, Iron Man, Superman etc. are just public masturbators. Go back in history and p much everybody hailed as a hero mostly engaged in the brutal slaughter of monsters and villains.

By that definition firefighters aren't heroes but Muslim terrorist are.

Muslim terrorists are heroes to their people, just like how Genghis Khan was a hero to some and villain to others.

And congrats on finding an exception like firefighters, I thought putting "mostly" would prevent stupid objections from brainlets like you, but I guess I gave you too much credit.

Then please mister, enlighten me as to why those characters you mentioned aren't "heroes" when compared to Punisher?

Black Cat looks to me like she’s pretty definitely modeled on Yvonne Strahovski. I certainly wouldn’t describe her as unattractive, but that janky face mask does her no favors.

I want to see Black Cat having massive tits with cleavage on display, a feminine face you can only get with expert editing and an ass that is so bouncy and thick you wonder how she even sits down without going twelve feet into the air.

Characters like Black Cat and Catwoman are made with one goal in mind: to parade around their porn star bodies and steal shit because of it. You can't have a seductress if your femme fatale looks like a fuckin' foreign exchange tranny dyke from Iceland.

I'm about 2 hours in, right where he got his new suit and here are some of my early thoughts. The web slinging feels pretty good and the fighting is satisfying. I love how he dodges with B-kicks, slides under enemies and flips around them. The animation looks great. I chose the hard difficulty on my first playthrough and I thought it was pretty funny how I beat Kingpin and his henchmen with rocket launchers but then I died on the street fighting a random group of gang members. Didn't like the parts where you play as Peter Parker and solve boring puzzles. It would be better if they were more adventure style instead of just connecting a circuit on a tablet. For example to fix robot arm it would be cool if you'd have to find a spare part of damaged hardware in the lab and replaced it and then use the sequence to debug it. Maybe that kind of stuff will be introduced later in the game but I was in the workshop/lab twice and there were same puzzles with slowly increasing difficulty. I was surprised by how bad the character faces look. Just finished Beyond: Two Souls and the characters in that game look so much more realistic and that's a PS3 game. Something just feels off about Peter's face. I don't know if he was modelled after real person but I swear I could see a bit of Andrew Garfield in him. I like his voice but his spider-cop jokes were fucking annoying.

Doing flips as Spidey reminded me how much I loved tricking and it made me move my ass and for last 2 hours I was doing handstands and handsprings. Tomorrow I'll work on my B-kick. It's been 10 years since I last did parkour/tricking (knee injury) and this game made me get up and start again.

I can honestly say that the only thing dissapointing about the game was its length. Was enjoying myself so much that it felt extremely short, even with all the side activities.

I don't think I'm getting a PlayStation 5. I'll stick with PC and maybe Nintendo.

Just started this as well. I'm treating it like a snack in the afternoons and it's been enjoyable so far. Traversal is fun, combat is decent, but what really caught me by surprise was the balanced writing and character work. I didn't expect it to be so charming.

Every time these PS4 exclusives make me envious I watch an hour of actual gameplay and the feeling goes away.
