It's worth maxing character stats at creation to make the game more comfortable. Non-mages don't need int, non-clerics don't need wis and not everyone needs cha, but max the other stats unless you're a masochist, even with maxed strength you'll have to leave stuff behind because of carrying capacity problems.

Don't bother planning for later games, start death knights with a fresh party and keep it in dark queen.

You get enough XP to max double-class characters during the game, knights are the only ones to keep pure.
You don't need neutral clerics, good clerics get better deity bonuses, more HP and level faster in CoK.
Avoid rangers, they're capped too early.
Don't switch knight order before you've enough XP to stay at level 8 (220,000/350,000 XP).
Sleep is very powerful so are hold person and stinking cloud, casting well aimed fireballs before the enemies move is the best tactic later.

As party for CoK I suggest:

human knight
kender cleric of kiri-jolith/thief
half-elf fighter/red mage
half-elf cleric of majere/white mage
half-elf cleric of mishakal/fighter/white mage
half-elf fighter/red mage or cleric/fighter/mage or human knight

May be I should play something like let's say... ToEE first to get the hang of DnD rules? An simpler goldbox? a more affable DnD game?
Or at least play it's tutorial whatsoever? Sounds way easier than reading the whole 60pages manual whichis confusing me, at least at 4AM :(
Is this a bad idea?

Also what's the percentage after the strength of my knight? And maxing stats or not maxing stats, should I do it? Shouldn't I? Are there any differences?

This is bad idea. JUST PLAY COK ALREADY! Don't forget to modify stats and take red and white mages, Myshakal's Cleric, Solamnian Knight, kender thief and fighter.

PLAY THE GAME OR I'LL SEND LITHUANIAN HITMAN AFTER YOU.

Also what's the percentage after the strength of my knight?
Exceptional strength. 18 < 18/50 < 18/00 < 19.

I just looked through the adventurer journals of Champions and Death Knights and couldn't find the level limits on subhumans in the trilogy. Where are they listed?

Check the Manual (not adventurer journal). IIRC they are in there.

Yeah, thanks. I found them in the DQK adventurer journal not long after I made the most. Not sure why I had so much trouble. Also, I said subhumans and meant it. Level capped untermenschen.

If you don't know the ins+outs of the races+classes now, you will learn them soon. Just go ahead and try them.

Eh bros, I seem to remember that having a dwarven ranger was pretty helpful at least early in the game because you could get sick compounded bonuses against goblins etc. with the dwarf's racial bonus vs. Giant races (includes goblins etc.) and the ranger bounus against the same. Probably not a big deal to someone who is good at tactical games, though, and IIRC by the end of the game you're fighting draconians and dragons n shit, so it may not be helpful by then... but still, it is kind of fund smacking down goblins with this early on.

Hit the space key in combat.

Yes. CoK is one of the easier Gold Box games, though.

Dark Queen of Krynn asks me for a save disk to save a created character. Anyone knows how to solve that?
