Far Harbor lead designer is the quest design lead on Starfield.I wonder if Far Harbor devs are working on this
Not just Lead Writer, but Lead Designer.Emil is the lead writer for Starfield. It's over:

Woah, you played 100 hours of Fallout 3. I'd rather play 100 hours of minesweeper.I couldn't get into Daggerfall.Ehm yeah? The vast majority of Codexers sink 100+ hours into every Bethesda game. Most of people here played the shit out of Skyrim and Fallout 4.
I have 100+ hours in Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I couldn't finish Fallout 4, just got bored and stopped playing at one point.
I only did the free trial period for Elder Scrolls online, combat seemed too dull, given its 90% of gameplay.
1000000000+ hours in Football Manager though

Lmao if you genuinely think this Bethshit will be anything like ED.
first time experiencing bethesda marketing huh?Lmao if you genuinely think this Bethshit will be anything like ED.
Nobody thinks that.
The reason I brought it up is because for a game called "Starfield," we've heard surprisingly little about how you will navigate this so-called field. Of stars. It is actually amazing how little we've heard -- and how little has been asked -- of this mechanic that would seemingly be crucial to how the game is played, but also would be exceedingly crucial to practically every other system that makes up the game.
So, how does space travel work in Starfield? Todd has said that it feels "dangerous" in the way that flying during the 1940s was still pretty nuts. But also that they have to "gamify" flying in order to make it less tedious. Okay, cool. What does that mean? In my own experience, Bethesda games tend to be incredibly easy when it comes to combat. But the survival mode in FO4 was actually pretty good. It leaves me with questions.
The game is coming out in 8 months, which is not a long time. From what I can tell, we know official answers to none of these questions.
- Does my ship have fuel? Is it possible to run out?
- How many axes am I steering my ship in?
- How does navigation work?
- What am I using to control my ship? Can I use a flight stick?
- Is flight interstellar? If so, how does it work?
- How does landing work?
- How does fast travel work?
- Does my ship have HP? Can I damage it with a shitty landing or by hitting an asteroid?
- Is there ship-to-ship combat? If so, how does it work?
- Can I customize my ship? Are there different kinds of ships for players?
- Are there things like weight limits, power limitations, etc.?
- What is combat like? Primarily ranged? Primarily melee?
- What kind of ranged weapons exist in this future? Are there energy weapons? If so, how do they work?
- What other gameplay systems are in place besides combat to highlight the dangers of space travel? For example, is there a survival mode?
- Do I need to worry about carry weight? Hunger/thirst/vacuum/radiation/cold/heat?
- What kind of character building options are there?

You can do anything. See that star system? You can fly there. Unlimited quests with amazing content. Just buy the game NOW to experience it when it releases.first time experiencing bethesda marketing huh?Lmao if you genuinely think this Bethshit will be anything like ED.

I'm struggling to recall, but I feel like I had a better grasp of what Skyrim was 8 months before its release than I do Starfield. Maybe because Starfield is a new IP, I dunno.
you have to calculate it on blunt weapons. How many axes am I steering my ship in?
you have to calculate it on blunt weapons.
btw, my wild guess on the entire affair is: think fallout 4, but in spaaaaaace. the ship and its handling? at best, it's all fast travels. at worst, it's like no man's sky. i expect a single system, just a bunch of mono-biome planets, laser pistols, laser bows, laser hammers and laser wizards wearing laser robes through laser dungeons, looting laser coins.
I bet starship will be short animation to fast travel.
It's part of the magic trick, it stops working if we don't believe in it but I fully BELIEVE in the Todd.you have to calculate it on blunt weapons.

But you see what I mean, right? I mean, isn't it fucking crazy that 8 months before release we have no idea how the SPACESHIP GAME will handle SPACE TRAVEL?? Like, NOT EVEN A FUCKING HINT. It's nuts!
I'm not upset about this, I'm just marveling at how the PR machine has so managed to whistle past all of this important stuff, with nary a word. This whole business is fucking crazy. I really do love it. You couldn't get away with this shit anywhere else.
Yeah, but we knew next to nothing about Fallout 4 and 76 that far out from release. Bethesda didn't even officially acknowledge they existed.I'm struggling to recall, but I feel like I had a better grasp of what Skyrim was 8 months before its release than I do Starfield.
