If the devs want voice actors that would be both fantastic AND passionate, grab Wil Wheaton or Vin Diesel. Huge D&D nerds. Promise to cameo their characters in the game and they might lend their talent for free!!
Candidates should have a love of games and enjoy working closely with designers and artists in a creative and supportive atmosphere. The project is an upcoming high-profile action RPG for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4
Interesting... it was never confirmed as a pc exclusive, but only announced for pc and the Q&A only mentions a pc release. When it was brought up at the GDC XBone / Win 10 crossplay announcement, they quickly clarified they were only mentioned because of the "Windows 10 implementation" they were doing. When someone complained that the UI looked "consolised", the designer stated it was just a WIP and would change.
But now someone on the forums spotted this in the N-Space jobs listing

Yes, that's the same job posting we spotted at the beginning of this thread, from before we even knew what this project was. But then it was announced PC-exclusive, so we forgot it.
An action RPG can still be all of those things.When talking about SCL they always call it "old-school/tactical/top-down/isometric" rpg, but that job opening is listed as an upcoming action rpg, I mean it's normal to expect the worst but I think that's for a different game.
To be honest it's not nearly as bad as "designing" for consoles and then feeding the PC players a shitty port.Seems to be standard marketing practice these days. Attract pc gamers with "designed for pc" claims or hints, when that well of cash starts to dry up then move to consoles. Probably in a strategy guide somewhere.
Isometric, I'll grant you, but...When talking about SCL they always call it "old-school/tactical/top-down/isometric" rpg, but that job opening is listed as an upcoming action rpg, I mean it's normal to expect the worst but I think that's for a different game.

The style of combat in Dragon Age: Origins has returned.
I'm one of the vocal minority of gamers that actually thoroughly enjoyed Dragon Age 2 for its amazing role-playing and the fun of pulling off interesting combos in the action-based combat. But when I heard Mike Laidlaw, the creative director of the franchise, say that the tactical, top-down view PC players might remember from Origins was returning, I gasped. Not only will PC stalwarts* like myself be able to pause and issue commands to your party in a view that makes sense, but console players will have the tactical view available too. The BioWare team realized that giving more options to players was much better than restricting them.
* Same as "old-school"

Bioware shows off 'Dragon Age: Inquisition's' pause-and-play combat
...In a new trailer for Inquisition, Bioware shares more details about the triumphant return of the pause-and-play system from Dragon Age: Origins that is sure to make old-school RPG fans happy.
Whereas Dragon Age 2 placed an emphasis on action and stripped players of party control, Inquisition gives players a choice of playing from the front lines in a more action/RPG kind of way or pausing the game at any time to issue orders and plan out a strategy. The tactical camera pulls the game camera over the top of the battlefield, giving you a bird's eye view of terrain and enemy positions. From there you can issue orders for your allies, such as specifying targets for spells or commanding members of your team to move to a certain location. They can also be commanded to revive fallen allies, to use items or defend certain areas.
The technology to make wizards awesome didn't exist when computer games were invented, duh."Wizards are no longer glass cannons, obliged to fire off a couple of spells then run away"
This is a good thing?
Yeah, now they can fire off a couple of spells, run away until their cooldowns are finished and run back to fire off more spells."Wizards are no longer glass cannons, obliged to fire off a couple of spells then run away"
That's it. Count me out.no alignment
Looks suspiciously like Divinity Original Sin. Seriously.
