This actually makes sense. If you investigate more into the tranny agenda, one of the goals is to present themselves as androgynous beings, demigods or gods. They think that a god contains both male and female parts and can be whatever he likes. This goes also far back into history and baphomet worship (who is also depicted with male and female sex organs). Likewise Shodan may see itself as a god, the alpha and the omega, the male and female. So that trannyvoice may be despicable, but it makes sense in context.

The sound is wrong and the whole post processing pipeline is absolute trash. The voice is terrible and the animations are horrible.
The art direction is utter crap. The first ten seconds of the System Shock 2 intro just demonstrate the quality discrepancies in everything, from art direction and music, to what Shodan is actually saying.

I actually liked the new Deus Ex games. The new Thief was terrible. The SS1 remake looked great in the vertical slice, but they almost screwed it up too, if memory serves.
They tried to sell it as a remake but then back pedaled and tried to do a reimagining, and then changed their minds again.
