I don't think any game made by a team of more than 1 can end like Grimoire. This game is so cool. It would be a shame if it ended up like Grimoire. Did Cleve hit 20 years in development yet?
These screens could all be mockups for all we know, the art looks good but it's just that, pretty still screens.
They need to show gameplay, ai, combat, etc. If the Ui is thos far along, then they wouldn't have a problem showing the game in action in an extended lp.
Still keeping the pace.
Wow. It's almost like frequent updates aren't incredibly difficult to do.
More Screenshots & Ambient Map Affects
We're very happy to be able to show another group of new screenshots for your viewing pleasure.
Ambience & Map Affects
I hesitate to call this a video - but this quick clip below shows some of the ambient animations we've put into place to give the map a more living and breathing feel. The roads and sea lanes convey their routes, and a convoy of ships is coming to raid a settlement. The outward flow from the POI itself shows the outflow of refugees and relative movement of traffic AWAY from the POI - due mostly to the raid. The map and POIs itself have many small touches and elements to make them feel active and like they are a part of a real, living world. Also keep in mind that the map screen will look really sharp and polished on your monitor in game, much more so than below.

I'm kinda surprised how much artwork they crammed in there, though.
Well, seems ok, but interface seems overcrowded by information. Excessive omplexity may shun casuals but fits for me.
If you think videos are immune to photoshopping, you're in for a rude surprise. There's a video ~10 posts above yours.
Debatable. Nothing could indicate work. Fakery indicates work that isn't productive or useful in any way. It's confirmed evidence of work that isn't a game, as opposed to no evidence one way or another. In fact, there's a number of videos, even a youtube channel.
Not quite a game yet, but sure as hell better than nothing.
Oh, sure, the latest batch of screenshots could well be fabricated nonsense, but there's not much of a way to prove that, to the best of my knowledge (and I'm not sure why they'd go to the trouble anyway - as far as I know, the TWS guys no longer accept any funding), so I'd rather assume the positive here. There's supposed to be a beta coming In the Future™, so we'll see, I guess.Debatable. Nothing could indicate work. Fakery indicates work that isn't productive or useful in any way. Who knows? They wouldn't be the first company to make a lot of fabricated screenshots, then finally admit at the end that there's no game, there will never be a game, and the entire thing was simply a lie. Bigger companies than them have lied out their asses about a game which turned out to be entirely fictional, when they realized at some point that it wouldn't be worth it to try to live up their huckerism and fakery. Given how often this has happened, I believe nothing without proof.Oh, sure, the latest batch of screenshots could well be fabricated nonsense, but there's not much of a way to prove that, as far as I know (and I'm not sure why they'd go to the trouble anyway
Having been lied to before, my people have a saying: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.- as far as I know, the TWS guys no longer accept any funding), so I'd rather assume the positive here. There's supposed to be a beta coming In the Future™, so we'll see, I guess.
If not for the fact that I had actually talked with the guys on the phone a couple years ago, I guess I'd agree. It does vaguely remind me of Cleve's descriptions of the complexities of Grimoire.Honestly, I don't see a game, merely clever work done in photoshop to create the appearance of a game.
Actually, it would make no sense to photoshop these videos. Programming a protoype that would recreate the sequence of moves included in the video would be faster in the medium run, even if it were just to make a smokescreen. But as anyone who ever ran a tech demo knows, demos usually have a lot of parts that are "fake" (like an AI that is totally scripted for the demo, or even played by one of the devs, numbers that change when you press a button, and not according to any rule), so it is hard to draw conclusions one way or another. If you think videos are immune to photoshopping, you're in for a rude surprise. There's a video ~10 posts above yours.
