Two 10k backers already? Nice.
Sidelines investors or troll pledges?
Who knows.

How come they need another kickstarter? Am I missing something here? Did Wasteland 2 sell so bad that they can't finance the game without crowd support?
I'm glad they are still making games tough, it's not that. Just curious.
Fargo stated numerous times that he want make inXile a Kickstarter centric business.
WL2 sold quite well for a midsixed studio.

I see. Interesting.

I thought kickstarter was created to help your company of the ground, and if successful you now had the finances to create your own stuff without outside help. Oh well.

A single game doesn't make a revival though, so it's technically correct.

Well, I'm ok with reviving the Dungeon Crawler with TB combat instead of tile dancing.

Also nice to see that Fargo let the kid drive his car ;)

The fact that he's using the same trailer with kid playing the big EVUL publisher for the 3rd fucking time is really pushing me away from this.
Change is bad,

This isn't about change, it was a lousy pitch to begin with but the fact that you're having to use it for a third time when it doesn't take a rocket scientist to explain that using in-game items, dlc, etc is a shitty money grubbing tactic and that you're just a decent person for not doing that shit rather than a saint/good guy is beyond lame.

I'd much rather have more content posted in the kickstarter video, Fargo should have the money to actually show some shit from the game as it's more fair for the backers rather then use the money for a shitty sequel of his horrid pitch.

Maybe next time he will be fair and try to actually show some game content instead of wasting my time criticizing others for their wrongs and painting himself as a good guy.

Backed! Although I agree that the video was kind of lacking. Way too much with the publisher kid and almost nothing that explains what BT is for newcomers.

Funny as no one noticed the most glaring omission among others.
The Bard's Tale is famous first and foremost for the whaky humor, he conspicuously omitted that part.
Another victim of SJWs.

Fargo does not assume (nor should he) that everyone has seen videos for his previous kickstarters.

Also, it is not like in-game items, dlc and other shitty money grubbing tactics are gone from gaming now - on the contrary, they are more prevalent than ever.

How come they need another kickstarter? Am I missing something here? Did Wasteland 2 sell so bad that they can't finance the game without crowd support?
I'm glad they are still making games tough, it's not that. Just curious.
It's free money - and risk-free money - I'm not sure what explanation it requires.

And because we actually want to get this made decently.

It's money bypassing publishers and other assholes that will put red lines and requirements that you don't want. I prefer to give my money directly to the devs rather than to some random dumbfuck with a tie

First, I lked all three pitches, second, this is addvertising, having recognizable chacters with a tested routine is par of the course, comedians did the same for decades, TV shows live on this, and people like it..

Hmm, as much as WL2 was kind of disappointing, it was still a pretty fun game, Torment is looking good, so 20 dollars and a free game is tempting. I guess i'll go for it.

Plus it works. Coincidentally, I think this is his best pitch to-date. He didn't overdo it and seemed more comfortable in his role.

Anyway, all hail inXile, the maker of TB RPGs (unlike that other company that shall remain nameless).

First, I lked all three pitches

There's no "3 pitches", it's the same fucking pitch. Fargo tries to create some sort of parody of your typical money hungry publisher that wants to suck a stupid audience dry through any and all underhanded tactics. And it CLEARLY makes him look like the good guy because he's the polar opposite of these people.

I didn't like it the first time but it was OK in the context of Kickstarter getting more clout. The fact that he's using it a 3rd time to gain attention and funding when all he's doing is basically being a decent human being is beyond lame.

Since when the fuck did not being a complete douchebag about how you do things become something that's worthy of being your main pitch and bringing you money, for three fucking times in a row.

having recognizable chacters with a tested routine is par of the course, comedians did the same for decades, TV shows live on this, and people like it..

Yes, companies like Bioware and Bethesda use this tactic as well when creating games, they don't take risks and follow the same recipe that's making them money with dlc, in-game items etc because it works. Hoozah you're fucking retarded.

Again Fargo CLEARLY has the money to actually finance developement of a game to a point where he can FUCKING SHOW YOU SOME CONTENT instead of bringing you that piece of shit for a third time, isn't he kind of behaving like a shitlord by not doing the decent thing when him advertising himself as a non-shitlord is his main motto?

This thing is getting money in a rhythm that even Michael Jordan would envy :smug:
