Keep in mind a huge percentage of the 600k Grimrock owners got it from a bundle.I mean the 600.000, which Grimlock sold. Inxile would surely appreciate that, given that pledges come in a bit slow lately.

Yup. Trow, trowe or drow are what they're called, folklore from the Scottish north isles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trow_(folklore)Isn't "trow" where Gygax got the name Drow?
1M or busto. Raffles.600k. What a shitty low number. Nobody gives a fuck about it. Again, inxile will be just fine focusing on the inxile fanbase. Fuck the shitty Grimlock fanbase. It can take its shitty game and shove it up its candy ass base.
Listened to an interview with Fargo at www.spieleveteranen.de (the last 30 minutes of the podcast).
He says that there won't be a separate combat screen, but a zooming out to show the whole playing field as well as your own characters. And it sounds like the characters won't move around like in Realms of Arkania. The zooming out will be basically just a graphical gimmick and the original phased/turn-based combat system will remain pretty much the same.
Huh, bona fide companion characters? Not sure how I feel about that.
I would be happy to be proven wrong, but this looks like shit currently. Too much graphics whoring for my taste.

Yep, they should have gone really old-school:

As far as I know, positional tactics are not on the table. Think JRPGs instead.I'm not up on this thread, but is RoA / BaK style presentation of combat being considered? They keep talking about pulling the camera back and I keep thinking of these games.
That's a shame. Is that a shame? I think it might be a shame. As far as I know, positional tactics are not on the table. This looked better and a lot less blurry. Also the demo in the pitch shows actual Blobber movement not a fake unreal tech demo. Later in in the pitch video they show a production level in the game engine.
Wonder why it failed with a vastly lower target?
I know "a lack of boot licking fanboys plus hype".

No, but RoA/BaK style presentation of combat wasn't on the table for them either. And, to be totally honest, I haven't played any BT or Wizardry game. My M&M is limited to Xeen and 10.That's a shame. Neither Wizardry, Bard's Tale or Might and Magic had positional tactics - does that make them bad games?
