(except that huge dragon on that bridge, I tried to cheese-shoot him with hundreds of arrows, but it was a borefest and I gave up).
I've read that they added regeneration to the bridge dragon to avoid such cheap tactics.
Did it two weeks ago. It's still in.
In other news, the Darkwraith armor and sword is fucking awesome. Especially love the move set on the Darksword. The Dark hand is fun too, but I have to choose if I want to use it as a shield or if I want to suck humanities, which kind of sucks. Taking another item as a shield isn't really an option here because then I won't have optimal roll speed.
farm the darkwraiths for another dark hand and equip it as a backup righthand weapon? it's not a particularly rare drop, and you'll get a sweet amount of titanite chunks in the process (and if you're lucky even a slab)
btw, there are 2 relatively easy strategies to take out the dragon even at lower levels: 1) get on the stairs so that you can see the dragon, shoot him with an arrow, quickly swap to your most damaging weapon, run to where the dragon will land and smack him in the face then run back below deck. rinse repeat. if you managed to snag the claymore (or another weapon with a nice vertical swing) under his nose this can end relatively quickly once you get a feel for the timing and positioning, the red tearstone ring also helps. 2) MAGIC! stand all the way in the corner under the bridge, near where the rats are; take your aim (unlocked) with regular soul arrows, kill him with heavy/great soul arrows; it'll be much quicker if you snag the dusk crown and bellowing ring (and oolacile catalyst if your int is less than 27 ) and/or if you manage to time your arrows so they land just as he lands for critical damage
