Technically you should go down to rescue girl before you defeat gaping dragon. It's PITA to get out of Tomb of Giants, thus many players are delaying it until lordwesel and some light source.

Lol pinwheel. Easiest boss in the game, LeRoy practically beat him by himself. Why would from put a summon with such an easy boss fight yet the more difficult ones don't have summons?

Any way, I beat the catacombs. Really easy and I only died once due to falling when trying to get to the blacksmith.

Man, I shouldn't have delayed getting to this area. The extra estus flasks would have helped a long time ago and the boss was easy.

Beat kalameet, was a pretty good fight.

Man, the Tomb of giants is the real dark souls.
I'm:love: this game and I'm only 72 hours in

Good. Now finish it along with DS2's OC so you can get to best Souls experience: Crown of the Old Iron King

also, no summons.

I will summon as long as a boss keeps kicking my ass.
I only have a pirated copy of DS2, that will kill my chance of summoning.

Fuck I need to buy bloodborne. I remember it having better combat than DS without having the poor hit detection

Actually DS2 has a lot more NPC summons (and invaders), especially SOTFS, so you will have use of them even in offline version. But really a lot of improvements in DS2 over 1 have to do with online so it's worth thinking about buying it. I enjoyed the real version much more than pirated.

Vanilla DS2 is $5 on PSN right now for PS3, SotFS is $15. I'm tempted to just grab the vanilla one with some spare money on my account. I liked DeS and DS alright but lost interest in both because of environmental hazards that sucked the fun out eventually for me. Worth a punt at $5? Should I spring for the full thing?

Only get the original if you have a toaster that doesn't support DirectX 11. If you do, it's time for an upgrade.

Already tried a pirated version of SOFTS and it ran better than DS1 with higher settings on my mac. Hopefully, the same goes for DS3 so I can be a day 1 pirate.

That's exactly what I did. Rather strange, as someone who primarily plays PC games, for me to be perfectly happy with an eight year old toaster and not feel like I'm missing out on anything, only to finally upgrade just so that I can play a remastered port of a PS3 game that I'd already beaten.

I only realized the DirectX 11 thing after buying it. Oh well, this machine is old as fuck anyway and I think it's gonna be replaced soon.

Alright, so I completed New Londo. It was really short. The 4 kings were a joke, I made it to the Demon Ruins and I killed all the bosses in one run except the centipede that took me two tries. Currently in Lost Izalith.

The bad news is that you're in the worst area in the game, and are about to fight the worst boss in the game.

The good news is that it's relatively short, so you should be able to clear it fairly quickly.

Bed of Chaos is not a big deal even if it's a shittiest boss in the game. Three weakspots you have to destroy at least don't respawn when you die.
