Nito is meh, BoC is known as the shit part of DS, four kings is meh. Gwyn is parryable so lol. That's why most of the people say best part of the game is pre lord vessel i guess.
I killed him without parrying. On first try.

The final boss (pre-SotFS) of Dark Souls II was pretty underwhelming as well. How's that for Demon's Souls and Bloodborne?

Demon's Souls: Mage-Knight human with deadly AOE attacks
Bloodborne: (final final boss) another typical large monster with 4 legs

So those bosses were not as overwhelming to fight? From what I can tell most bosses in Bloodborne are writhing masses of limbs and tentacles, not too sure about Demon's Souls.

There's the spectacle and there's actual intensity. Seeing some of the bosses in Bloodborne (hell, most of them) you'd be intimidated, but most are felled pretty easily.

Demon's Souls had a lot more "gimick" bosses that were really cool. It didn't have huge monsters but it did have a giant tower of shit you had to fight (think of the giant turd made of eels in DS2 in the poison cavern).

Demon's Souls movement feels much lighter than the following games. Combat is less cathartic, but the ideas behind some bosses are great and I hope FROM revisits them again in future games.

I really like the satisfaction behind BB's parry system, just like in Revengeance, it gets you pumped when you pull it off.

aside: fav boss of all games is Sir Alonne. I love the 1 on 1 knight fights.

This artorias boss fightis definitely:incline: over this whole area. Haven't beat him yet but it's very exciting and gets the blood pumping. So far this dlc has had good boss fights. Maybe that's the attraction for it.

no. the last boss of DeS is a giant formless mass of pity that is killed by looking at it

i don't.

that's one thing i will always agree with Edward_R_Murrow: the gimmicky bosses of DeS mean that once you figure out the gimmick (which is anything but hard), you're left with a boring "fight" that becomes an annoying snoozefest on repeat playthroughs. despite having probably the best story and atmosphere of the lot, DeS is by far my least played of the lot because there's so much boring gimmicky shit in it, and the actually good fights are as overrated as they come (yes, i mean flamelurker and allant, which were disappointingly easy even the first time through, particularly the latter which was a pushover)

Beat artorias but with help.
On my quest to getting the right stats to use the Artorias Greatsword, I find that miracles and sorceries actually exist and I can use them. I got a healing miracle and Solaires lightning miracle, I still can't beat this hellkite dragon for the life of me. What type of shitty boss is this?
Ok, so I am back to liking the DLC area. So far those evil magicians that shoot those black balls are annoying but easy to take down wit ha greatbow, the level design so far is decent too.

The Hellkite is one of the shittiest bosses in the game alright. If you want to get to the area below it you gotta shoot it with a bow, then book it as it jumps down. Make sure to go to the side area as it breathes fire so that you're not immediately killed.

Wasn't Kalameet cool? I remember liking the Sunken King one better though. Regardless, it's better than the punching dragon from DeS

You can bring it down by waiting in one of the side areas where it can't breathe you and it'll eventually come down. It still sucks though because the thing has a bunch of attacks that will basically one shot you and are hard to avoid. People can do it and have posted ways but I'm not one that good since usually if I do avoid them, it'll fly away again.

Hellkite Dragon is pretty shitty. I eventually killed it with the Dragonslayer Greatbow, retreating underground when it tried to come closer and kill me.

I've read that there's a bug with the Hellkite Dragon that if you shoot it from just the right spot it'll jump off the bridge. Is that still there or did they patch it?

I once made the mistake of going to meet Nito before acquiring the Lord Vessel....:negative:

I like how Dark Souls is a game which separates the dumbfucks from the hardcore alpha males

Nothing wrong with getting the silver serpent ring as early as possible. :positive:
