I hated crystal caves so much more than lost izalith. Just in case you were forgetting that this is just a dumb video game, let's remove all correlation between what you see and the collision geometry of the level.

Prism Stones, which are cheap as chips, and you're sorted. Crystal Caves was child's play compared to the second dungeon level of King's Field 1, which had invisible pathways spanning lethal drops but no Prism Stones, no tell-tale particles dropping down on the path and no developer "Path Here" nor potential player-written Soapstone messages.

I never saw a golden golem in the grass area between the crystal caves and I killed every golem. Maybe it spawns after the boss fight.

Beat the painted world, was pretty fun. Lol, Priscilla is so easy that they had to give her invisibility. Good level, me and a friend are doing it all again.

Her soul makes for a pretty sweet scythe, but it has bleed buildup on you as well. Combining it with the shield you found in the painted world is advised.

I'm really going to hate this artorias dlc. The first boss fight was pretty good but this forest area is something I hate.

fuck, I might just skip it and come back later. These stone giants are kicking my ass and it so far doesn't feel rewarding.

they aren't much tougher than the ones before the butterfly...you could just run past them to get to the good boss fight

Stone giants can be evaded, but the scarecrows might fuck your shit up. Artorias is a fun fight alright, one of the best in the game.

someone summoned me again, he was in the fight with an invader. He dies but I kill the invader and then I die. No humanity or souls.

Ah, alright. Solaire's armor is pretty light for a Medium class set, and while it's got decent magic/fire/lightning defense its physical defense is lacking. I'd say not kill him for now, just see how things work out.

But one made from Sif's soul? Hm, with good stats it can do a very high amount of damage, but on the downside you need some hefty stats across the board to use it most effectively. You'll end up with a very high soul level if you do that, making co-op more difficult.

I need 8 intelligence which I'm working on right now. I might kill Solaire to get his armor then save him in NG+. Donating 30 humanity to the chaos servants is a lot.

Try and get the most mileage possible out of Sunbro first: there's a number of battles in Lost Izalith you can take him on that are pretty fun. Make sure to take him all the way to the final boss of the area.

I'm trying to use artorias sword

which one? there are 3, and only one is really worth using (one is kind of shit, and the third is good if you plan to take your character to SL200 or above [i.e. forget about interaction with other players])

Artorias great sword

the uncursed one that you make with Sif's soul? don't bother until NG+, or even later. that weapon is kinda shit until you have 40/40/40/40 dex/str/int/fth, or near enough. at base requirements with 1-2 stats at 40 is worse than pretty much any other greatsword upgraded to chaos or lightning or even magic/occult/divine. if you want an Artorias sword that is actually usable at "lower" levels, then get the Abyss sword

Bros, I might actually beat this game after all.

I have beaten the DLC, which had some of the best boss fights in the whole game. I also enjoyed Oolacile Township a lot (Royal Wood was pretty bullshit, though). Then I went back to regular content and killed Sif (too easy, as I was probably seriously overlevelled for her), Firesage (easily) and Centipede (was hard). After I beat Bed of Chaos, I will only have Tomb of Giants and The Abyss to do. I can see the light!

I will probably end up with over 120 hours clocked in (I am already over 100), but that is just how I roll.

Nito is meh, BoC is known as the shit part of DS, four kings is meh. Gwyn is parryable so lol. That's why most of the people say best part of the game is pre lord vessel i guess.
