Since there is no longer an instant frame parry tool, does it mean that roll/backstep parrying is gone now? I haven't ever tried doing it with other tools.

i think the implementation of a ring (especially one that would come with a DLC) that would alter matchmaking is absolutely idiotic and see no reason why it shouldn't be a menu toggle like the region lock thing (that in practice doesn't work, but hey.. it's From)

Because then they'd have to admit SM is a failure.

whatever their implementation would be it's an admittance of failure. i'm just saying that implementing a bypass in the form of a ring is particularly stupid (but wouldn't surprise me give Team B's penchant for idiotic bullshit)

Oh there is no argument there. All I was saying is I wouldn't put it pass them.

Turns out GMB and defense in general are even more OP than I thought. I wonder if it was always like this or if it was changed in the latest patch.

Darklurker is a joke with 900+ dark resist. I'm not taking 0 damage, but might as well be.

:retarded:

:negative:

Time to find some good non-elemental weapons.

Dual mundane Helix +10 with Ring of Blades +2, Stone Ring, Old Leo Ring. Oh and all stats at 99.

:troll:

I made two mundane helixes (they only go up to +5 tho, cuz it's twinkling titanite weapon you haxx0r).

I ... I destroyed people. My lowest stat is 50 on my retardo guy but holy shit. Basically, at this point, nearly every weapon is better off mundane except for those that have very high initial attack power and great scaling like the great club or mastodon weapons.

For everything else, there's mundane. I'm curious if throwing in an archdrake mace is worth it. It does 60 poise damage and is a striking weapon which seems to be the best damage type.

So elemental resistance is not local; the damage is based around your TOTAL resistance regardless of where you get hit?

Attunement makes you get more castings from spells at certain breakpoints. This sounds like a couple of scrolls were not affected, maybe because there's a maximum number of them that can be affected and you exceeded that, or some sort of bug.

It's not just one spell either, but for a few spells and at seemingly random points. For GL spear it's the scrolls "at the end" but for something like GMB it's a scroll in the middle. I'll take a screen shot tomorrow and turn it into from/namco and see if anything comes from it.

here's a reworking of numbness/gmb/mb that could potentially be much more balanced (if and only if they remove SM because with SM there is now way to make anything balanced. SM is the root of all evil in DaS2): instead of giving a flat +XXX resists, it gives +XX% of your already present resists (the actual number values should be carefully considered and tested, but something like +40% for GMB and +60% for numbness could be ok). oh, AND NO FUCKING STACKING OF BUFFS, for Gwyn's sake!

Real men upgrade to +10 no matter what. GIT GUD.

I'm pretty sure that none of the weird strike weapons actually deal strike damage. Drakekeeper Warpick, Archdrake Mace, King's UGS, Pickaxe all seem very underwhelming for their DMG numbers.

On another note, someone on reddit figured out how to get rid of "wretch" status. Once the blues stop invading you just invade a way of blue member and die while an arbiter is present. I've been checking my sin levels via Sinner's sword and it's working.

btw, the natural elemental resistances of Int/Fth for fire/dark/mag/lightning were also buffed in the 1.06 calibrations. it's like From understands they went overboard with the infusion+buffs system, but they have no idea how to fix it

Why in the holy fuck did From change the way elemental buffs work!? Did they not research on why Blueblood sword was so good? Why elemental weapons in DKS couldn't be buffed?

Jesus fucking christ.

He's a boss you have to fight in that area soon (unless you take another path through the tower of flame) but that first fight is optional. The second one is much easier because of ballista that can wipe most of his health out in one hit.

So I'm curious, has anyone managed to play this exclusively with KB+M? and done so well? Do you get constantly shat upon PVP? Also why don't chrome recognise "shat" as it is the legitimate past tense of shit as a verb and also serves as a fucking participle.
